This is Memorial Day weekend folks - the unofficial start to Chicago summer (though it could be 50 and raining, oh this magical city!), rates are inflated and places are booking up fast.

For our traveling guests with limited Chicago knowledge - we live pretty far north of the Loop (think, like 40 minutes by Uber in traffic). Evanston is a quieter stay about 20 minutes north of us on the Lake. Or, opt for the few spots that are in/around Old Town (super fun area, but congested and popular).
Airbnb/Vrbo tips: good neighborhoods to stay in nearby include, Andersonville, Ravenswood, Lincoln Square, North Center, Roscoe Village, Wrigleyville, Albany Park, Edgewater.
*avoid Roger's Park and parts of Uptown
