Things To Do

Just adding a few options for dinners, brunches, coffee, etc. in the areas you may be staying in. Uber/Lyfts are easy to snag. The Davis is near the Western Brown Line stop on the elevated subway (8 minute walk from the station, southeast on Lincoln), the park is near the Damen Brown Line stop on the elevated subway (12-15 minute walk from the station, north on Damen). The North side of the city (Evanston, Lincoln Square, Ravenswood) is close to O'Hare (about 35-40 minutes) - our suggestion is to fly into O'Hare if you can to avoid the traffic from Midway Airport heading this far north.

Bagel Miller Bagels

If you're bopping around Lincoln Square ahead of the movie, this shop makes their own bagels and serves coffee and snacks. Just down the street and a good spot for a quick lil' something.

Gene's Sausage Shop and Delicatessen

4750 North Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625

If you're bopping around Lincoln Square ahead of the movie, this looks like a German grocery store but if you take the elevator up to the 3rd floor it has a great rooftop beer garden where they grill brats and other salty good things. The rooftop typically opens Memorial Day weekend, check it out to see if you can grab a spot. It's worth it. *Gene's will be supplying cheese/meat platters for our cocktail hour, happy to support a great local spot!

Vaca’s Creamery

Adorable ice cream shop in a little square - the heart of Lincoln Square. The ice cream is non-dairy (which as all my friends know, is appreciated). The plaza is home to a sandwich shop, a french bistro, and a bakery - you won't be disappointed with any of these options ahead of the movie if you're looking for lunch/brunch.

Geraldine's Coffee Shop & Bakery

If you need a coffee ahead of the movie, this is just down the street. The carrot muffins really punch you in the jaw. I love the baked goods at this place.

The Book Cellar

Favorite neighborhood bookstore. Serves coffee and wine with cute outdoor tables. If you're down ahead of the movie and need a spot to chill, this is a great option.

The Warbler

If you're bopping around Lincoln Square ahead of the movie, this is a great place for lunch. Outdoor patio is very cute. Delicious kale salad.

Little Bad Wolf

Best cheeseburger in the city. Great date night spot. They do not take reservations but the spot is near so many bars/cozy places to wait out the seating timeframe.

Pequod's Pizza

2207 North Clybourn Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614

The best Chicago pizza - it's in Lincoln Park, highly recommend. They officially deliver (but take 75-85 minutes to cook your pizza/do so, plan accordingly).
