Our Adventures

Exploring New Places: we nearly got stuck in the sand on our way to this slot canyon, but it was worth it (2019)!

Morel Hunting: one of our favorite pastimes together during our free time between busy work days in Yosemite, California. This year (2019) was a jackpot due to recent fires in the area.

Getting High: literally - this is the highest elevation Sara has ever hiked to (just over 14,000 ft).

Roof Building: our most recent home project was building a new (metal) roof on the garage to match the rest of the house. Sara and Tuck roped in and got it done before the rains hit in fall, 2019.

Home Brewing: Tucker has become quite the brew master! This is our new beer-brewing setup, with which we brewed most of the beer, mead, and wine you will get to enjoy at our wedding!

Backpacking with Friends: on this excursion, we explored the Indian Peaks wilderness in Colorado with our dear friends, Davey, Cori, and Carly (2019).

Sailing: Thailand (2017)

Building Things: Tucker built the pergola in our backyard (shown here) and a beautiful picnic table to match. Sara makes a handy assistant, but mostly enjoys the manly view (2018).

Quiet Time: at the end of a 20-mile hike to the Miter Basin in the Sierra Nevada, we stopped at Blue Sky Lake to fish, camp, and enjoy the perfect stillness of mountain life (2019).

Providing for the Team: White Rim Trail beer run (2017)

Getting Dirty: whether it's digging in the garden soil or measuring trees in the ash of a forest fire, we love it (2016)!

Skiing: Grand Targhee (2016 or 2017?)

Taking a Break: on our days off during the summer, we get to visit some amazing places! This was our first trip up-close-and-personal to Mt. St. Helens (2019).

Getting Fancy: John and Rachel's wedding (2017)

Backcountry Skiing: the first time Sara tried backcountry skiing was into the Cedar Breaks forest plot we work in. Tucker did all the heavy lifting, and Sara tried to keep up (2016)!
