The man whose cool, calm, and collected 😎 Sapphire came into D’Andre’s life unexpectedly and little did he know that he would have the most amazing best friend. Without Sapphire he would not have grown into the man he is today. Through any situation these two have never stop loving each other and being amazing parents to their two beautiful children. Coming up on 10 years of being together D’Andre is extremely excited to be able to see Sapphire walk down the aisle to take his hand in marriage and officially call her his wife.

The mother of the bride - Mrs. Linda Munoz - the one Sapphire gets all her extraness from. Sapphire's mother has always supported Sapphire's dreams and has always pushed her to be a better version of herself. She was her biggest supporter in her softball days making sure she had all the tools she needed to succeed and making sure she was always watching from behind the plate or from her phone. Although Linda never was fond of Sapphire dating, once she met D'Andre, Sapphire was quickly in second place. She looks forward to seeing her babygirl walk down the aisle.
Briana Malik
Mother of the Groom
Briana, the cherished mother of the groom, radiates patience and love that has been the cornerstone of her child’s life. She knew Sapphire was the one almost instantly when she would call Briana almost every morning to make sure D’Andre made it to high school 😂. Her support, sacrifices, and encouragement have guided her son to become the man he is today, making her presence at this celebration deeply meaningful. Today, as her child begins this new chapter, Briana is cherished for being the foundation in her son’s life.
Francheska Mendez
Maid of Honor
Francheska or Franny as she calls her, is the bonus sister Sapphire never knew she needed. They met in 5th grade and quickly connected over being the new girls in class. After Francheska’s dad attended their flag football game and seen Sapphire be the quarterback and also tackle a 6ft tall kid into the wall - he told her she better be best friends with Sapphire 😂 they grew closest throughout high school where they were inseparable and also played softball together. You could never put anything past them when they were together - sneaking off to parties, pool hopping, endless nights driving to the city, and the best sleepovers where they cried laughing until they couldn't no more. No matter the distance, their sisterhood withstood the test of time - a once in a lifetime sisterhood that has lasted 16 years. Besides D'Andre, Francheska is the only other person who knows Sapphire like a book and vis versa.

Tony and D’Andre, cousins who have lived under the same roof for most of their lives, share a profound, brotherly bond that began when D’Andre was born. Their connection through countless shared memories remains a cornerstone of their lives. D’Andre looks up to Tony with deep admiration, viewing him as a role model whose strength, kindness, and unwavering support consistently inspire him. Tony’s guidance encourages D’Andre to pursue his best self, pushing him to grow and excel. Sapphire and Morgan met in college where they played on the softball team at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. Due to injury, Morgan stayed a 5th year to continue playing and during this year, she decided to live in a house full of girls, Sapphire being one of them. Living on the same floor, Sapphire would never pass up the opportunity to snuggle as they confided in eachother for just about everything. Morgan became a big sister to Sapphire in many ways, mentoring her to become the best version of herself by example and by following God. Morgan is a big part of the reason on why they made the move to Alaska 🙌🏼
Angelo Torres
Man of Honor
Angelo and D’Andre, cousins born just six months apart, share a bond as close as brothers. Growing up together in the same household, they were inseparable, playing sports and attending school just one grade apart throughout much of their childhood. When Angelo moved to Indiana before high school, their connection remained strong. Once they both had cars, they made time to visit each other, spending cherished moments at one another’s homes, keeping their brotherly bond alive. The deep appreciation they have for one another, rooted in shared experiences and loyalty, beautifully reflects the strength and closeness of their lifelong kinship.

This is Sapphire’s older sister Destinee by 6 years. Some of Sapphire’s favorite memories together were when they were younger and would walk all over town together, go to the pool, and when Destinee taught her how to ride a bike. Though they fought constantly over sisterly things…as they got older, Destinee grew a soft spot for her little sister. Though miles apart, they still bond over girl talk, motherhood, and life updates. And yes, Sapphire still sneaks in a hug and kiss when they’re together even though Destinee cringes at the thought of showing affection 😂🫶🏽
Chris Garbacz

Chris and D’Andre were introduced by Tony, D’Andre’s cousin, and their friendship deepened when D’Andre started high school. Their bond grew even stronger after they both earned their CDL licenses and began driving trucks. On the road, they stayed connected with near-daily phone calls and occasionally saw each other during their travels. Now, both happily engaged, they’re excited to stand as groomsmen at each other’s weddings in 2026.

Sapphire's younger sister Angelina is also apart of the wedding party, which is funny because at one point in time they fought like "cats and dogs". They spent their younger years bonding after school and as they did chores together. Angel has never wavered in her support of her bigger sister especially during Sapphire's softball career and as a mother. Angel has visited Alaska three times already and calls/facetimes almost everyday - they are trying to convince her to get stationed in Alaska!

Julian, also known as Jay, moved to Westchester around 2010 alongside his brother PJ, settling in as neighbors to D’Andre’s family. Over time, Jay moved in with D’Andre and his family, a shift that deepened their connection into a profound, brotherly bond. Their relationship, built on years of shared moments and mutual support, grew stronger through late-night conversations, shared laughter, and countless memories made under the same roof. Jay’s presence brought a sense of camaraderie, solidifying a friendship that feels like family. Jay has an infectious spirit that holds a place in D’Andre’s heart.

Sapphire and Jessica met in college at the University of Missouri St. Louis where they were teammates and quickly became inseparable. Jessica was Sapphire's catcher and their bond grew stronger during their bullpens. Although Jessica had her own apartment at one point, she ended up at Sapphire's every single day - hence why they ended up moving into a girls house together! Without Jessica, Sapphire's college experience would not have been as memorable. From sleepovers to Halloween coordinating, to late night chats/cuddles, to being used as a practice patient for Jessica to ace her nursing exams - their bond only grew. Though Jessica has been living internationally with her husband post-college, they stay connected through it all.

Danny and D’Andre, childhood friends from Westchester, forged a strong bond starting in third grade. D’Andre often visited Danny’s home, joining his family for dinners and sleepovers. As they moved into middle school, they shared the same tight-knit friend group, spending nearly every day together. Even as life grew busier with adulthood, their friendship endured, with the two staying closely connected through the years.

Leah is the wife to Angelo Torres (D'Andre's cousin). When they started dating, Sapphire knew Leah was a keeper and was happy to have another woman in the family she could bond with - after all they are outnumbered by the men in the family. Sapphire and D'Andre love getting together with Angelo and Leah for game nights, family gatherings, and bonfires. The girls stay connected and love having facetime updates and giving updates on their kids via photos! Leah inspires Sapphire to continue deepening her relationship with God.

Jeffry and D’Andre are childhood friends who grew up attending school together, forging an unbreakable bond that blossomed into best friendship during middle school. D’Andre spent nearly every day at Jeffry’s house—even on holidays—where Jeffry’s family welcomed him as one of their own. They taught him new ways to navigate life, introduced him to places he’d never imagined, and created amazing experiences that left him with cherished memories he’ll carry forever.

Sapphire and Julianna met through D'Andre and Chris as the boys grew up together. Over the last few years, they have became great friends hanging out regularly with backyard barbecues, bonfires, late nights at eachothers houses, going on adventures together and being there for big moments. With a big Italian personality, Julianna is always a face Sapphire wants to see when she goes back home to visit! They now happily get to enjoy their fiancée eras together - Sapphire will also be a bridesmaid for Julianna and Chris's wedding in May 2026!

Preston, also known as PJ, moved to Westchester around 2010 with his brother Jay, settling in as D’Andre’s neighbor and sparking the beginning of an extraordinary bond. Over the years, their friendship grew into something better, evolving into a brotherly connection that felt like family. When PJ moved in with D’Andre, their shared home became a place of laughter, late-night talks, and unforgettable moments. From adrenaline-fueled trips to the gun range to strategizing through intense paintball battles or unwinding with video games side by side, PJ has been a constant source of joy. Every shared adventure, every heartfelt conversation, has woven a tapestry of memories that binds them tightly. PJ’s loyalty has etched him into D’Andre’s life as more than a friend—a true brother.
