Old Venetian Port of Chania
The iconic Venetian Harbor is a landmark of Chania city on the main sea promenade. It was built in the 14th century and showcases a balanced blend of Cretan, Ottoman and Venetian elements with narrow alleys across the old town and unique architecture. Egyptian Lighthouse of Chania
The Egyptian Lighthouse of Chania is located at the entrance of the Old Port and was originally built in the 16th century by the Venetians and later reconstructed by the Egyptians during the period 1830-40. It is one of the oldest lighthouses in the world and has an octagonal base, the middle part has 16 angles, while the top part is circular. It has a height of 21m above sea level and its light reaches a distance of 7 nautical miles. المنارة المصرية في خانيا تقع المنارة المصرية عند مدخل الميناء القديم في خانيا. تم بناؤها في الأصل في القرن السادس عشر على يد الفينيسيين، ثم أعاد المصريون ترميمها خلال الفترة بين 1830 و1840. تُعد من أقدم المنارات في العالم تتميز بقاعدة ثمانية الأضلاع، والجزء الأوسط يتكوّن من ستة عشر ضلعًا، بينما الجزء العلوي دائري الشكل. يبلغ ارتفاعها 21 مترًا فوق مستوى سطح البحر، ويصل ضوؤها إلى مسافة 7 أميال بحرية
Küçük Hasan Mosque
Yalı Tzamii, meaning 'Mosque of the Sea', is the first mosque built by the Ottomans in Crete, and a shining example of Renaissance Islamic art. It is one of the most famous monuments of Chania featuring a distinctive round rooftop, and is situated in the center of the old harbor. مسجد كوجوك حسن (مسجد البحر) يعني اسم يالي جامي «مسجد البحر»، وهو أول مسجد بناه العثمانيون في جزيرة كريت، ويُعدّ مثالًا مميزًا لفن العمارة الإسلامية في عصر النهضة. يُعتبر من أشهر معالم خانيا، ويتميّز بسقفه المستدير الفريد، ويقع في وسط الميناء القديم
Old Chania Market
The Municipal Market of Chania is a landmark building of about 4,000 sq.m., located on Hatzimichalis Giannari Street. Built in 1913 on the Venetian bastion Piatta Forma, it was officially inaugurated by Greek Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos the same year. Designed in a cross shape with four entrances and 76 shops, it became the city’s central market space. During World War II, it was used by German forces, and an air-raid shelter was added in 1941. سوق خانيا البلدي (السوق القديم) يُعدّ سوق خانيا البلدي مبنىً تاريخيًا بمساحة تقارب 4,000 متر مربع، ويقع في شارع هاتزيميخالي ياناري. تم بناؤه عام 1913 فوق التحصين الفينيسي المعروف باسم "بياتا فورما"، وتم افتتاحه رسميًا في العام نفسه على يد رئيس الوزراء اليوناني إلفثيريوس فينيزيلوس صُمم على شكل صليب مع أربعة مداخل، ويضم 76 متجرًا، ليصبح السوق المركزي للمدينة. خلال الحرب العالمية الثانية، استخدمته القوات الألمانية، وتمت إضافة ملجأ للحماية من الغارات الجوية عام 1941
Ancient Aptera
The Aptera, which is approximately 15 km. From the city of Chania and above the Souda Bay, was the Minoan years one of the most important cities - states of Crete. Elafonissi Beach

Samaria Gorge
The Samaria Gorge is located in the White Mountains (Lefka Ori) in southwest Crete, within Chania. It is 18 km long, making it the longest gorge in Crete and one of the longest in Europe. At its narrowest point, known as the "Doors," it is only 3 meters wide. Declared a national park in 1962, it is home to many endemic species, including the Cretan goat (Kri-Kri). The gorge is named after the village of Samaria and a 14th-century Byzantine church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, which still stands today. مضيق سماريا مقع مضيق سماريا في الجبال البيضاء جنوب غرب كريت، ضمن منطقة خانيا. يبلغ طوله 18 كيلومترًا، ويُعدّ أطول مضيق في كريت وأحد أطول المضائق في أوروبا. في عام 1962 أُعلن منتزهًا وطنيًا في اليونان، ويضم اأنواع مختلفة من الكائنات الحية. ومن أشهر الحيوانات فيه الماعز الكريتي (كري-كري). استمدّ اسمه من قرية سماريا وكنيسة بيزنطية تعود إلى القرن الرابع عشر مخصصة للسيدة العذراء ولا تزال قائمة حتى اليوم

The Municipal Art Gallery of Chania showcases works of painting, engraving and sculpture of Greek and local artists, that date back from the 18th century until today. Holy Trinity Tzagaróli Monastery
It is one of the most important monasteries of the Venetian fee in Crete with significant historical and educational contribution to the island. Located at the foothills of the Cross, to “Tzompomylos” of Cape Meleha. In recent years the Holy Trinity Monastery Tzagarolon performs systematic biological olive crops and vineyards and produces fine wine, raki (raki), oil, honey, vinegar and olive oil soap. The monastery produces 20 tones of organic virgin olive oil, awarded in international competitions and is mainly sold abroad. دير الثالوث المقدس في تزاغارولون يُعدّ من أهم الأديرة في كريت خلال الفترة الفينيسية، وله دور بارز في تاريخ الجزيرة. يقع عند سفوح منطقة الصليب، في موقع يُعرف باسم تسومبوميلوس. يقوم الدير بزراعة الزيتون والكروم بشكل منظم وعضوي، وينتج النبيذ الفاخر، والراكي، وزيت الزيتون، والعسل، والخل، وصابون زيت الزيتون. كما ينتج حوالي 20 طنًا من زيت الزيتون البكر العضوي الحاصل على جوائز في مسابقات دولية، ويُباع معظمه في الأسواق الخارجية
Virgin of the Angels Monastery (Gouvernéto)
Gouverneto Monastery, also known as the Monastery of the Lady of the Angels, is one of the oldest monasteries in Crete and an important example of Orthodox monastic architecture. It was built in 1537 at an altitude of 260 meters. Nearby, a walking trail leads through the Avlaki Gorge to the ruins of the Monastery of St. John the Hermit and the impressive cave where he lived, a site of historical and religious significance. دير جوفِرنيتو – سيدة الملائكة دير جوفِرنيتو من أقدم الأديرة في كريت، ويُعد مثالًا مهمًا على العمارة الرهبانية الأرثوذكسية. تم بناؤه عام 1537 على ارتفاع 260 مترًا فوق سطح البحر بالقرب منه يبدأ مسار مشي عبر وادي أفلاكي وصولًا إلى أنقاض دير القديس يوحنا الناسك، بالإضافة إلى الكهف المميز الذي عاش فيه، وهو موقع ذو أهمية تاريخية ودينية
Maritime Museum of Crete
The Maritime Museum of Crete is located at the entrance of the Old Port of Chania, right next to the Firka Fortress. Starting from the Bronze Age, its collection includes models of ships, nautical instruments, painting, historical photographs and war relics classified chronologically. The museum also features a room dedicated to natural marine life. المتحف البحري لكريت يقع المتحف البحري لكريت عند مدخل الميناء القديم في خانيا، بجوار قلعة فيركا. تبدأ معروضاته من العصر البرونزي، وتشمل نماذج للسفن، وأدوات بحرية، ولوحات فنية، وصورًا تاريخية، وقطعًا أثرية حربية مرتبة زمنيًا. كما يضم المتحف قاعة مخصصة للحياة البحرية الطبيعية
Archaeological Museum of Chania
The Archaeological Museum of Chania was founded in 1963 and is located on the spot where stood the old Venetian monastery of St. Francis in Halidon Street in the city of Chania. The museum’s collection includes finds from excavations in various parts of the city made during the last 50 years and its exhibits give an enduring image of the cultural history of Chania from the Neolithic period up to the Roman period. المتحف الأثري في خانيا تأسس المتحف الأثري في خانيا عام 1963، ويقع في المكان الذي كان يشغله دير القديس فرنسيس الفينيسي القديم في شارع هاليدون بمدينة خانيا تضم مجموعاته مكتشفات من حفريات أُجريت في مناطق مختلفة من المدينة خلال السنوات الخمسين الماضية، وتعرض مقتنياته صورة شاملة عن التاريخ الثقافي لخانيا من العصر الحجري الحديث وحتى العصر الروماني
