Travel Note
Thank you for traveling to Emily's hometown for our wedding. Brewster is a beautiful town but is off the beaten path, please explore the below travel options and take them into consideration when making your plans.
Flight
HPN is our regional airport, only a 30 minute drive to Brewster, NY. HPN offers car rentals through Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National. The website also lists multiple taxi and transportation services under "Ground Transportation". Be sure to wave at the Westchester police as you exit the airport - cousin Michael may very well be covering the airport and will give you a big wave back!
Flight
Flying into one of the two major NYC airports affords you the opportunity to tack on a day or two in the Big Apple before or after traveling to Brewster. Avoid Newark. After landing at either JFK or LGA you have a few options: Car Rental: As a major airport, both airports offer a variety of car rentals. Train: Make your way to either the "Harlem-125th Street" or "Grand Central Terminal" via a taxi or uber and take the MTA Harlem line towards Southeast. A ride to the Brewster train station will take an hour and a half . Catch a waiting taxi to the hotel/venue.
Train
The Harlem line runs from Grand Central Terminal north. From the Harlem-125th Street Station or Grand Central Terminal and take the MTA Harlem line towards Southeast. A ride to the Brewster train station will take an hour and a half . Catch a waiting taxi to the hotel/venue. Be kind to MTA employees, father of the bride is among them!
Hotel
This is the blocked hotel for the wedding where the party will be staying. Special rates available for the nights of October 10th and 11th are factored into the link. The hotel is located less than 5 miles from the venue, The Holiday Inn is within walking distance of many restaurants and shopping. Free WiFi, parking and breakfast is included in the rate. We are working on coordinating transportation to/from the hotel and the venue. Stay tuned.
