Our story began at the United States Coast Guard Academy, where we first crossed paths as classmates. Little did we know at the time, this chance meeting would lead to a lifelong journey together. After graduation, we each embarked on our careers as officers in the U.S. Coast Guard, and while we went our separate ways professionally, we stayed connected as friends. As fate would have it, our friendship evolved into something more just before life took us in different directions—Chase to Miami and Emily to Alaska. Despite the distance, our bond only grew stronger, and after three years of dating, we decided it was time to take the next step. We moved in together in Riverview, Florida, where we started building our civilian life side by side, with our beloved dog, Benelli, completing our little family. On New Year’s Day 2025, amidst the vibrant beauty of the Tampa Riverwalk, Chase proposed to Emily—marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in our lives. As we start this journey of marriage, we are beyond grateful for the love, laughter, and memories we’ve created so far, and we can’t wait to see what new waters the future holds.
