"What I can say about Sarah could fill a book, but you don’t have that kind of time, so I’ll keep it brief. One of her most special traits is the way she makes you feel like you’re the only person in the world when you’re talking to her. No matter what’s happening around her, she listens with complete focus, creating a kind of bubble where it’s just the two of you. She’s naturally inquisitive and does her absolute best to truly listen—something that feels like a lost art in today’s world. Sarah isn’t just present in a conversation; she absorbs every word, every nuance, making you feel truly heard and understood. She asks questions that make you think deeper, that make you feel valued, and that remind you why connection matters. It’s in the way she tilts her head when she’s intrigued, in the thoughtful pauses before she responds, and in the warmth of her laughter when she’s genuinely fascinated by a story. She also has a way of making people feel at ease, not through grand gestures but in the little things—her steady presence, her thoughtful words, the way she instinctively knows when to listen and when to chime in. Whether she’s sharing in your excitement or offering quiet support in a tough moment, she makes you feel like you’re not alone. And in a world that moves fast, that’s something really special." "I knew he was special when he suggested my favorite Vietnamese restaurant for our first date. I had a feeling we’d speak the same food language—and I was right! From the start, he was kind, compassionate, and full of love. He’s one of the easiest people to talk to, always welcoming—except when the 49ers are playing. He puts others first, even when it’s not in his best interest. When he knows I’ve had a tough day, he surprises me with things I love—hot pot from my favorite place, a Chick-fil-A milkshake, or a Pikachu figurine. He knows me inside and out and is always ready to listen. I admire how he constantly works to improve while appreciating what he has. He’s always up for trying something new—unless Reddit or Yelp tell him otherwise. He’s meticulous, fun, and the best planner. Have you heard our proposal story? Best one in history. He loves Winona, and I love the little family we’ve built together. He’s my number one fan, and I’m his—together, we make up Winona’s Super Fan Club! He is my favorite person in this world, and I’m so grateful we get to do life together. I don’t know much, but I do know I never want to picture life without Sacha, my boo-boo." Written by Sarah
Maid of Honor
Sarah and Emily first met at the University of San Diego. One day, a friend introduced them at a study area right above the dining hall. Sarah was furiously working on her laptop and anxiously debating what her major would be and Emily thought she seemed sincere and cool with her industrial piercing. Soon after, they would don white coats and be chemistry lab partners then fundraising chairs and eventually co-presidents of a volunteer organization they both cared deeply about. Throughout college, Sarah and Emily would share adventures and laughs while volunteering in Panama and Honduras. On these trips, they set up clinics that provided healthcare to underserved communities, work with community members to collect large palm fronds to build a chicken coop, and check in on each other’s bowel patterns as well as emotional health. Emily admired Sarah’s ability to be vulnerable, how she would engage in deep meaningful conversations with friends and strangers alike, but there was one thing she couldn’t understand, how Sarah’s feet could reach places on your dorm room wall you never wanted feet to reach.

Hi everyone, I'm Richard and I've been friends with Sacha since high school. Sacha has been one of my closest friends for many years now and getting to see Sacha and Sarah's relationship from the beginning to where it is now has been incredible. When we all went to Hawaii together and got to experience paradise, it became one of my favorite trips ever. You both bring out the best in each other, and it's been awesome being part of your journey. Wishing you both all the happiness in the world!

I am Sarah's Aquarius cousin on her Mother's side born in the year of the Horse. I am a boy Mom who enjoys frolicking in the forest, long walks on the beach, spending time with my handsome husband, and scoping out the local music scene. My fondest memories with Sarah usually involve a hiking trail, road trip and/or the opportunity for me to play the big sister role. You can find me in a cube farm Monday through Friday as I work to fund my next adventure. Xoxo

Sacha and I first met in the fifth grade. He was a new student who came in part way through the year, but I liked him right away! Unbeknownst to me he had hated me that year for making fun of his name. By sixth grade we were best friends. Our youth was well spent! Riding bikes all night, going fishing, attending concerts together, and I’ll never forget the time we were at the movies buying tickets and he said to the girl in the booth “It’s our first date.” He totally got me! A better friend I have never known. A better friend I likely never will. I am so very happy for him and Sarah in what they have found together and the adventures of their own that await them! To be a part of their union is a true honor and I can not wait for their special day!

Mia Mellon is a mom of two boys and two doggos working in tech from her home in Sacramento, CA. She enjoys all types of competitive and collaborative sports and games, spending time on lakes, trails, rivers, and beaches, and nerding out over the latest tech and political podcast she's heard. She and Sarah met in a CrossFit gym in Campbell, California in 2017 and they are both still (sadly? happily?) addicted to this form of fitness.

I met Sacha nearly 20 years ago in high school math class. We bonded the way all lifelong friendships begin—by shooting staples at each other and flipping each other's backpacks inside out. From that moment, it was clear we were destined for decades of mischief and mayhem. Fast forward through the years and I've seen Sacha grow into the incredible person he is today, and it's clear he's found his perfect match in Sarah. Together, you two are the definition of "meant to be," and I know your life together will be nothing short of amazing.

Hi I'm Alice. I've been blessed to know Sarah since 2002 when we started Chinese Immersion in second grade together at a new elementary school. We both had the same short hairstyles, and since then we both grew out our hair. I'm lucky we've stayed close friends as we start our 30s. Congratulations to Sacha and Sarah starting their forever together.

Hey, my name is Derek. I’ve known Sacha since 9th grade. If I could tell you all the stories of the things we used to do, we wouldn’t have enough time in the day (still wondering where those jeans on the roof went). I know Sarah isn’t always thrilled when we hang out because somehow, I always manage to send him home the drunkest he’s ever been—sorry about that! But from the very first moment Sacha told me about Sarah, I knew she was the one. The spark and love in his voice said it all. Thank you, Sarah, for taking care of him. Good luck!

Hello, my name is Esther. Sarah and I became friends by sharing our love for some good music over cider during our summer program in London. I’m both honored and excited to be a part of Sarah’s bridal party!

As your favorite nephew, I’ve got to say, I’ve never seen you fall in love so hard—well, maybe except for when you played Halo 3 for 16 hours straight back in the day. But seriously, seeing you this happy with Sarah is the best thing ever. I’ll never forget those weekends you’d watch over me, tuck me in, and cuddle me like a champ (guess Sarah's taken my spot now, huh?). Wishing you both all the love, laughter, and blessings ahead. Congratulations, Uncle Sam! Best wishes, Dillon

We rescued Winona on May 1, 2021 and the moment that Sarah saw her, Sacha knew he came in second. Winona is our fur-baby, she does have a lot of anxiety and separation issues but she has a lot of love. She's funny, awkward and is Momma and Papa's baby girl. If you see her, please allow her to come to you.

Hello Everyone! I’ve known Sacha all his life because I’m his big sister! We’re 4 years apart but as close as ever. We’ve supported each other in every aspect of our lives and developed a solid friendship mixed with the annoyance of sibling banter. I’m so excited to be part of the wedding and can’t wait to celebrate Sacha and Sarah as they take the next step in their journey. See everyone on the dance floor!
