Sarah and I met through a dating app, as most people do today. Within the first few messages, I knew she was something special. My first line to her was terrible; I misread one of her profile bios (which perfectly foreshadows how I tend to be in our relationship) and she sweetly corrected me. In a way, had I not made a mistake, she could have easily brushed me off as just another profile message. That first message kicked off a thread, which then turned into texts and finally led to a date. Our first date was on June 19, 2019. By that point, we had talked so much that it was finally time to meet in person. Sarah and I were both heavily into health and fitness; I was coming down from my bodybuilding win, and she was ramping up in CrossFit. Knowing this, I set out to pick a restaurant focused on health and clean eating; in the Bay Area, they come a dime a dozen. After some thorough searching, I found a Vietnamese restaurant that catered to health and fitness crowd. Which for a Vietnamese restaurant is rare. I messaged Sarah to see if she was interested and as fate would have it. She was a regular there and loved that place for the simple fact that it was healthy. We spoke so much on our first date and really opened up to each other. There was this unspoken bond that her and I had. Sarah is incredibly inquisitive, asking the most sincere and thought-provoking questions, making it easy to connect. That day laid the foundation for everything our relationship would become. Every conversation and experience, good or bad, has been a building block for something neither Sarah nor I could have fully prepared for. A relationship built on trust, honesty, vulnerability, and progression. Many see marriage as the pinnacle of a relationship, but to us, it's a beautiful reminder that our love is alive and represents the best parts of ourselves. When we’re finally up there at the altar, we want you to know that we are thrilled that you can be part of this special moment. Sacha Krin, The Groom
