We are so excited to share this day with you and look forward to dancing the night away with all of our favorite people!

We met almost 10 years ago and became friends who fell in love. From awkward teenagers to adults who kind of have their lives figured out, we're finally ready to make this official.

We met at a friend's house in May of 2015 in our hometown, Red Lion, PA. We became good friends and stayed in touch for the next few years. We would check up on each other and get together with mutual friends. Our first date was to Lion's Pride Restaurant, the finest diner in all of Red Lion. It was fate that brought us both together in Morgantown, WV, where we both decided to attend college at West Virginia University. We would get together in our free time to attend study dates, sporting events, drives to Taco Bell, and gatherings with friends. And this is how we went from being friends to becoming a couple. We began officially dating in the Fall of 2016 soon after Derek had taken Katie on a date to the movie theaters. Neither of us can remember what movie we went to see but that doesn't matter because Katie talked the entire way through it while Derek chuckled right back. We learned how to support each other and grow together from there. In September of 2021, we decided to move to Tucson, AZ together. Derek landed a great position at Raytheon and Katie was applying to physician assistant programs at that time. Two years later, Derek planned a weekend getaway to Page, AZ for their first vacation together since Katie started school. As we were all alone watching the sunset at Under Canvas campsite in Big Water, UT, Derek got on one knee and proposed on May 6, 2023!! He surprised Katie and they both cried in laughter. Hint: the picture above was the first picture taken after the proposal. Since then, we have bounced ideas of our wedding day back and forth at each other. We thought, what better way to celebrate our love than in one of our favorite states - Arizona. We would love for our family and friends to be able to experience dancing the night away under string lights in the middle of the desert with us! Oh, and we adopted an orange tabby cat named Phoenix! Long story short, we are excited about this new chapter in our lives and to share it with all of you.
