Travel Note
Whether you are traveling by air or land, you will need to secure direct travel to the island. There are many ways of getting to/from the island depending on where you are coming from that include 5 ferry options (some with vehicle options) and 2 flight options that run regularly to/from the island. Please plan in advance to be sure you secure your travel to the island. Check the link below to see what works for you!
Travel Note
Block Island is fairly small and easy to explore without a car. There are bike and moped rentals (I recommend mopeds for the best experience as you can see the entire island in a day!) as well as taxis, too. If you want to leave a car on the mainland, there are public parking lots at all lots for $5-$15 per day. Check out the Google Map link for a general layout of the island in the case you choose to lodge or find yourself away from the main drag.
Flight
Providence Airport is a 40 minute drive from the Point Judith Ferry. An average Uber from the airport to the ferry is about $50.
Flight
Boston Airport is a 1.5 to 3 hour drive to the Point Judith Ferry (depending on traffic).
Flight
Tweed Airport is about a 45 minute drive to the New London Ferry.
House Or Rental
There are many hotels on Block Island and we've listed some of the most popular ones on this page. There are also a lot of other rental properties available on Block Island, from small apartments to multi-family homes. Sometimes these are more affordable than hotels. Some are listed on AirBnB and VRBO, but many more are listed by private real estate companies. If you call or email the real estate companies they can help you narrow down the options for your group size. Use the link below to explore those!
