Wedding Party

Meet the wedding party! We are so honored and thankful to have each of these special people by our side for our wedding day.

Meg Wells

Officiant

Meg was Adam's boss and friend during his time at University of Rochester. Meg grew up in Cincinnati, attended Rochester Institute of Tech, and worked at the Hillel at UR (where Adam and Meg met). Meg moved to Los Angeles while her husband pursued rabbinic school, and is soon to relocate to Seattle. Though Adam and Meg live in different parts of the country, they connect frequently on social media and have maintained a close friendship after Rochester. Meg and Becca became good friends over the course of Adam and Becca's relationship, and as Adam's mentor, the couple is glad to have someone close and welcoming to officiate their wedding.

Danielle Breen

Maid of Honor

Danielle is the bride's youngest sister, about two and a half years younger than Becca. She is currently a pharmacy technician at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio where she lives with her two cats, Willow and Nova (who Becca cannot tell apart). She recently graduated from The Ohio State University with her Bachelor's degree. While Becca and Dani did not always get along as children, they are as close as ever now that they are adults and Becca is so excited to have her littlest sister stand next to her in May.

Joshua Richman

Best Man

Josh is Adam's older brother. Being only one year older than Adam, the two had similar friend groups and interests growing up, and spent a lot of time together in school and at home. Josh went to Cornell University where he got multiple engineering degrees before working in the space industry for NASA and SpaceX. He currently lives in Columbia, Maryland with his girlfriend Nicole, hundreds of plants, and his sourdough starter, Steve. Josh works as an analyst in the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab finely tuning satellites. Though they bickered a lot as kids, Josh is Adam's best friend.

Amber Massie

Matron of Honor

Amber and the bride have known each other since elementary school and have remained close ever since, through college and moves to two different parts of the state. Amber has a Bachelor's degree in education and teaches at Centerville City Schools as a high-school science teacher. She lives in Miamisburg, OH with her husband Evan (who has also known Becca since elementary school) and her many pets. Becca was honored to stand by Amber at her wedding in May of 2022 and is so excited to have her friend share this experience with her now!

Matt Phillips

Groomsman

Matt is Adam's longest standing friendship. The two met in middle school when they were paired up for a science project, and have continued to be close friends ever since. Matt lives in Fort Collins with his girlfriend, Zoe, their two pets, and Matt's shrimp farm. Through years of middle school and high school band, to constant video game sessions, and talking on social media every day, Matt remains one of Adam's closest friends despite living across the country from one another and only seeing each other once a year.

Emma Halpin

Bridesmaid

Emma is one of Becca's closest friends, a fellow Toledo transplant after attending the University of Toledo. She is a marketing manager, dog lover like Becca, and avid reader. Her husband Liam (also in the wedding party) and two dogs have been so important to the community Adam, Becca, and Stanley have built since they moved to Toledo in 2021. She has known Becca since they were in middle school band together and sat next to one another playing the oboe and flute.

Austin Spafford

Groomsman

Another one of Adam's longer standing friendships, Austin and Adam first met in high school band. Matt and Adam would joke that Austin was their "adopted freshman," since Austin was one year younger in school than them. Austin lives in Louisville, CO with his fiancée, Ella, and their dog, Poppy. Austin works as a System Engineer at Siemens, where he has the opportunity to travel internationally for work, primarily working on wind turbines. Adam and Austin frequently video chat, share memes on social media, and video game with each other, despite only seeing each other once a year, with the occasional holiday meet-up in Ohio when Austin and Ella visit her family in Michigan.

Bobbie Hall

Bridesmaid

Bobbie and Becca met randomly when Becca sold Bobbie a textbook freshman year, and later became co-workers and then roommates at Miami University of Ohio where they both attended undergrad. Bobbie has since moved to Columbus and Pittsburgh working in women's and children's research for two major universities, and will soon move to Tennessee with her (almost) husband Ian and cat Willow to attend a PhD program in counseling psychology at the University of Memphis! Becca will be a bridesmaid in Bobbie's wedding this July and is so happy to have her standing by her side next May.

Eric Mendelson

Groomsman

Eric and Adam first met when living in the same dorm building at University of Rochester. Quick to become friends, Eric and Adam spent most of their free time during freshman year hanging out, and lived together off campus after freshman year. Eric is currently attending University at Buffalo where he is working on his PhD in biomedical science in the labs of Drs. Panepinto and Stavrou. The two talk and game together regularly, and see each other every year for at least one Buffalo Bills game.

Greta Fitch

Bridesmaid

Greta and Becca met during their graduate school program at the University of Toledo and share their love of speech pathology. They made it through many long nights of studying, preparing for clinicals, and taking needed breaks from their intense schooling together. Greta works as an inpatient SLP in Lima, OH and lives nearby in Delphos with her family. Her and her fiance, Connor got engaged not too long before Becca and Adam and they love getting to spend this season of life together! Becca loves being able to meet up wth Greta between Delphos and Toledo to stay close friends with coffee dates and brunches.

Liam Halpin

Groomsman & Dog Handler

Liam has known Becca since high school and Adam for only a few years. Liam's wife, Emma (bridesmaid), is childhood friends with Becca. Even though they've only known each other for a few years, Liam is one of Adam's biggest supporters in life. Liam is a jack of all trades but is an avid weight lifter, at home chef, swim trainer, and dog trainer. Liam was Stanley's dog trainer when Adam and Becca first adopted him, and give Stanley ongoing bootcamp. To continue his support for the groom, Liam will be Stanley's handler at the wedding.

Tiffany, Christina, & Brooke

Blue Crew

Tiffany, Christina, and Brooke are Becca's 3 older sisters. They all live in different places, but will be joining together at the wedding to be Becca's "something blue". Tiffany, the oldest, lives in Georgia and was always the cool older sister for Becca when they lived together, driving around in her Jeep after school listening to "Irreplaceable" by Beyonce. While Christina and Becca have never lived in the same place, Becca loves having her and her son, Jace close by in Columbus to spend time with and grow closer now as adults. Brooke and her family live in Florida, and Becca has loved visiting Brooke down in the sunshine state, seeing her boys on trips to Ohio, and FaceTiming to stay close.

Jace Ruppert

Ring Bearer

Jace is Becca's sister Christina's son who will be almost 5 by the wedding! He is so smart, loves dinosaurs and cars, and always asks for Uncle Adam as soon as he sees Becca even if Adam isn't there. He is so excited to get to walk down the aisle!!

Ben & Beckett Patten

Flower Boys

Ben and Beckett, Becca's sister Brooke's sons, will be tossing the flower petals for us at our ceremony. They are full of energy and love to throw things, so this job will be perfect for them! They share a love for Sesame Street, Bluey, and their Aunt Gumball (a nickname I will never be able to get rid of).

Stanley

Best Dog

Stanley is our 6 year old lab-pittie mix who we adopted in April of 2022. He loves squeaky toys, bones, and butt pats. He will be 7 at the time of the wedding (time is flying!!!!) and will join us at the front of the ceremony, during photos, and briefly at cocktail hour - you might also see him at the welcome/farewell events! He is a gentle giant (about 80 pounds) and will be with us or our friend, a former dog trainer, the whole time. Feel free to come up and say hi (or give him a treat - just no chicken!), Stan loves to make new friends. Just beware of his tail, which wags so hard it may bruise you!
