Will physical wedding invites be sent out?

Answer

Our "Save the Dates" and wedding invitations will both be digital. It's fast, easy, and good for Mother Earth. An emailed invitation will be sent out closer to the wedding date as a reminder to RSVP.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. Anyone invited has their name listed under the RSVP section of the site. Sadly, unlisted guests will be turned away.

How should Out-of-Towners get around?

Answer

Lyft and Uber are available in Rochester! Be mindful that they are not as omnipresent in the mid-size city of Rochester as to the expanse of Gotham. If you're in town briefly, the Rochester Airport Marriott hotel provides a free airport shuttle. If you prefer absolute freedom and independence, you may want to consider renting a car at the airport or beforehand.

What's the weather like?

Answer

August in Rochester can be hot and humid. However, there's always a chance it could be cooler with a gentle breeze from Lake Ontario or colder with a thunderous lightning storm! We suggest keeping an eye on the local weather before packing.

When should I arrive at the wedding?

Answer

Please arrive at 3:45pm at the earliest. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm.

Will there be food and drinks served?

Answer

Of course! There will be an open bar all night, starting at cocktail hour. Canapé will be passed around during that time. Shortly thereafter, all guests will enjoy Deerfield's own buffet spread of Fine Contemporary American selections. Dessert from local providers will be served in the evening.

Do you have a hashtag for the wedding?

Answer

YES! #TheRnBcouple and #R8B2023 The former is akin to our shared Instagram handle (@theRnBcouple) that celebrates our relationship, love of R&B music, and the serendipitous relationship the genre has with our initials! The latter utilizes an ampersand (&) look-alike in an 8 to memorialize the month of the wedding. We are very excited for everyone to use our personalized wedding hashtags in video and photo posts shared online!
