We understand that asking our wedding party to come in to town 3 days before the wedding itself is asking a lot. If you can attend, where the wedding itself will take place, we deeply appreciate it. Those who are not able to attend this rehearsal will do a mock-rehearsal at the BBQ on Saturday, August 19th listed below.

Nothing is planned today for guests, so enjoy exploring Rochester at your leisure! See the "Things to Do" tab on this website with recommendations about beautiful places to visit, delicious foods to try, and thrilling summer activities provided by the Groom's hometown! Let us know how easily that Garbage Plate went down! Public transportation is minimal, but Uber and Lyft cabs are plentiful, as are bike lanes and vehicular infrastructure to get around.

Come ready to rehearse what the ceremony will be like: placement, choreography, movement, timing--the works! To celebrate exclusively with our wedding party, we will enjoy a BBQ meal provided by one of Rochester's best BBQ joints. You bring your appetite. We'll bring the moist towelettes.

Wedding Ceremony

Richard, Belkis, and their families have meticulously planned the ceremony to be meaningful and engaging. You'll learn a great deal about the bride and groom's respective cultures! SPEAKING OF ENGAGEMENT: you are welcome to take pictures and videos and post them to social media using #R8B2023 and tag @theRnBcouple. While using phones to take videos and pictures, please be mindful of their placement as professional photographers and videographers will be working and do not want to capture your hands in the air, waving around like you just don't care. Hey. Ho. Hey. Ho. Richard suggests holding them in front of your face, right below your eyeline, as he does when at concerts, so as not to impede the view of those behind him. Please enjoy refreshments during cocktail hour immediately after the ceremony. *Excluding men's dress shirts.

PARTY HARD! We'll celebrate until the reasonable Sunday evening hour of 10:00PM! Kids to bed on time and you ready for Monday morning rush hour! Woohoo! Deerfield's buffet, an assortment of locally-made desserts, and a live band (Shine) will provide food and fun! Please drink responsibly. Y'all know Richard don't play that.
Walking Charlotte Pier

Attire: Casual! And Cozy--breezy by the water.
Since it is free and outside, the After Party is open to all interested guests (who can find their own transportation)! We will drive to Rochester's famed Charlotte Pier and walk its brief length: a beautiful and nostalgic turn for Richard, his family, and other Rochesterian guests, the pier offers a soothing and peaceful means to enjoy Rochester's historic connection to Lake Ontario.
