The ceremony will be at the Ford House Visitor Center and Museum Lawn in downtown Mendocino. The reception will be held at Spring Ranch Mendocino immediately following the ceremony. These are about a 3-5 min drive apart.
For the ceremony at Ford House: there are designated public parking spaces along Main Street. These will probably fill up, but you should be able to easily find more parking along the streets around downtown Mendocino. You may just need to walk a short block or two. We’d recommend carpooling if you’re concerned. For the reception at Spring Ranch: You will be able to park directly on the property. There is a large field to park on and we will have someone direct you at the entrance.
We are asking that everyone RSVP by July 31st. We also understand that it is a journey to get here and are so grateful already to anyone even considering making the trek! That being said, we completely understand that things come up. If you are not able to make it for any reason, no worries at all, please just indicate on your RSVP that you are not able to come. We really will not be offended!
Due to the long drive and windy roads, we recommend driving up and arriving in Mendocino by Friday night to ensure you are well rested and ready for the party on Saturday. For those flying in, we’d recommend flying in the day before you plan on driving up, but if you are comfortable with it, you can fly in and drive directly there on the same day. However, we highly recommend building in a few extra days to explore the beautiful historic town of Mendocino and the iconic Northern California coast. It is the perfect destination for an extended weekend trip!
There is no hotel block, but there are plenty of hotel and vacation rental options nearby. We do not recommend staying too far away (such as Fort Bragg) as the roads can be very dark at night. We suggest searching in Mendocino downtown, Little River, or Albion.
The weather can vary and may change drastically throughout the day and night due to the coastal location. Average temperatures during this time of year range from low-70s to mid-50s, but is usually around 68 in the day and 55 at night!
The dress code is cocktail attire, which ranges from cocktail dresses to jumpsuits and button down shirts or a suit. We HIGHLY recommend bringing layers as it can get foggy and chilly in the evenings year round. The venue is outdoors for dinner on the cobblestone patio and indoors on a brick floor for dancing, so we don’t recommend super high stilettos. Other than that, wear what you like! We’re just grateful to have our favorite people celebrate with us!
Yes! We are happy to have the kiddos join us on our special day if they’re up for the trip!
Your invitation should indicate the number of guests you are allowed to bring and whether it’s for a single person, couple, or family. Reach out to us if you have questions!
