Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Reese Steiner and Lauren Branch
We're so excited for all of you to visit one of our favorite places in the world. Be sure to visit Acadia National Park and make a trip out of it!
Beehive Loop Trail

Beehive Loop Trail

This trail is not for the weak, be warned! You'll grapple with rocky terrain, ledges, and ladders. Reese's mom completely freaked out. (Mom, if you see this I'm sorry. But not really because it was kind of funny. Love you)

Bubble Rock Hike

Bubble Rock Hike

This incredibly fun hike features gorgeous rocks, pond views, and more! The famous Bubble Rock is known for looking like it's going to topple right over the cliff, but for thousands of years it has remained in its place.

Ocean Path Trail

Ocean Path Trail

This is a more relaxed hike along the ocean that makes for great photos. If you're lucky, you'll find lots of critters, like clams and starfish!

Thunder Hole

Thunder Hole

Bar Harbor, ME 04609

Thunder Hole is the place in Acadia National Park to experience the thunder of the sea against the rocky shores of Maine! On calm days you may wonder what the fuss is all about. But wait until the waves kick up a few notches. Thunder Hole is a small inlet, naturally carved out of the rocks, where the waves roll into. At the end of this inlet, down low, is a small cavern where, when the rush of the wave arrives, air and water is forced out like a clap of distant thunder. Water may spout as high as 40 feet with a thunderous roar! Hence the name: Thunder Hole. This is an easily accessible spot right off the main road with a paved walking path, friendly to all ages.
