Bridesmaid
A built in best friend. Danielle and I have been inseparable since the day I was born. From kids to adulthood, it’s always been the two of us, creating dances, doing endless crafts, being each others go to partner for Karaoke (Picture by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow, duh!), or just being the person we can go to for everything. Whether we’re laughing, crying, or fighting over whose pants they actually were (they’re just pants!), Danielle is the one I can talk to for hours, multiple times a day, and still never run out of things to say. I have been so lucky to grow up with Danielle by my side.

After meeting in the first grade reading tent, and sharing an affection for dinosaur books, we have been boys ever since. Through thick and thin we have never separated; I consider him a brother and his family a second one. From aspiring to be in NHL, to drag racing our high school cars, to living it up in Vancouver, we have truly become who we are due to each other. I am lucky to know wherever he is in the world he will always be the uplifting and supportive friend I have grown with.

If you haven’t heard, Courtney and I have been best friends since we were just 4 and 5 years old (that's 25 years!!). We’ve held each other’s hands through life’s biggest moments, both literally and figuratively, and I know we’ll keep doing that for the rest of our lives. From our Friday nights begging our parents for sleepovers, just so we could play with our Barbies and snack on junk food (thank god there are no Dill Pickle Chips in Italy!), to our wine nights crying in the bathroom over stupid boys and mean girls, Courtney has always been by my side. She’s the one who tells me the truth, even when I don’t want to hear it. And honestly, I wouldn’t have wanted to grow up with anyone else.

Before anyone there was Tyson. Pre kinder soccer was where I first realized this guy is truly a pain in the ass, and one I would always want on my side. Even with him working up north and being gone half the year, we always stay in touch like he’s an arms length away. He has always bested me in every sport we play together, minus the occasional round of golf, but I will never stop trying to beat him in everything. He has always had incredible talent in everything but the greatest to witness is him becoming an incredible man throughout the years and someone I look up to.

If there’s anyone I can always count on to have my back, it’s my big sister. She has never missed any of my calls (even answering with clients in the room) and she’s always been there when I needed her (and even when I thought I didn’t). Even though she’s way stronger than me, I learned how to be tough and resilient by watching her. Samm is the definition of loyal, my ride or die. Some of our best memories have come in adulthood: spontaneous day trips to Banff Springs, wine nights on the balcony, and endless laughs and scream singing. I still don’t trust your driving (and I’ll never walk near you when you're behind the wheel), but those moments are some of my absolute favorites.

From classmates, to coworkers, to roommates, some would say we have spent too much time together. After living in two cities together on the road, we decided we weren’t fed up with each other yet and moved into our own place in Calgary. He cooked, I cleaned, and we both argued occasionally like an old married couple. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I have had the pleasure of watching his career and golf game improve year over year. He will always be the guy I go to for hard truths and we always keep each other accountable and humble, whether we ask for it or not.

You know that we came to party baby baby baby baby! If you are looking for me and you find Cassandra, then you basically found me. From the moment we met, we clicked, and have been inseparable ever since. We were told by our boss that we needed to stop hanging out during Covid, since if one of us was sick, the other person couldn't work, so instead of listening, we just moved in together. Dance parties at Grier Ave, our dog runs in the backyard at midnight at Vista Heights, shotgunning in the sink, 2 puppies (sweet Fendog and Onyx) a house, a cabin, endless sleepovers and many whiteclaws, my life wouldn't be the same without Cass.

Being the smoothest talking server at Cactus Club it was only a matter of time till I considered him one of my best friends, and started getting into way too much trouble with him. Ethan and I shared a love for football and golf, really what else does it take for a male friendship to form these days. I had the pleasure of meeting him on the tale end of his irresponsible days, thank god. Now I know him as an amazing husband, father of two, and friend I can always count on for a good time.
