Flight

Denver International Airport

Flying into DIA will get you ALMOST there. You still have about 100 miles to go. If flying into Denver and calling an Uber or Lyft is your thing, go for it. That said, we highly recommend renting a car or booking a shuttle ride with Colorado Mountain Express or Peak 1 Express to transport you to and from Vail.

Flight

Eagle County Regional Airport

For those who want to travel in style, walk off the plane, and be surrounded by mountains. We recommend checking the airport code EGE during your flight research. Located only 35 miles from Vail.

Travel Note

Please Hydrate

Vail is located 8,150 feet above sea level. We recommend a dedicated hydration plan.

Travel Note

Weather / packing / clothing

Be sure to look at the weather report more than one time before packing. Temperatures at night will be much cooler than during the day. Don't let the weather keep you inside. Plenty of shopping around town for clothing if you forget an item.

Rental Car

Renting a car?

Denver International Airport has no shortage of rental car companies or vehicle options. It is always nice to have wheels when you need or want them! Just remember, parking in Vail can be challenging or costly. That said, if you like to drive, the road is fun. Interstate 70 West into the mountains from Denver is quite kind on the eye.

Travel Note

Peak 1 Express

Peak 1 Express: shuttle options from the airport to Vail. Be sure to have your flight information and hotel information ready when you call! For a cheaper option, book to Vail Transportation Center but plan for a walk or free bus ride to your hotel.

Travel Note

Colorado Mountain Express

Colorado Mountain Express: shuttle options from the airport to Vail. Be sure to have your flight information and hotel information ready when you call! For a cheaper option, book to Vail Transportation Center but plan for a walk or free bus ride to your hotel.

Travel Note

Uber / Lyft

Please note: although Vail is much more than a ski town, the Uber and Lyft services can be limited due to the trip distance from Denver to Vail and the number of active drivers in Vail both around town or from Vail to the airport when departing. Prepare for surge prices like you've never seen.

Travel Note

Parking your vehicle in Vail

You can park your vehicle at Manor Vail but a daily fee will be added to your room charge. Pro tip- unload your bags at the hotel lobby and use the free parking garage located at the Vail Transportation Center. Parking at the Vail Transportation Center is a five minute walk from or to Manor Vail.
