Ain't no mountain high enough to keep us from saying I Do!

In 2013, Kyle packed up his life in Texas and set out to Vail to take up the ski bum life for a season (or 5). As fate would have it, he stumbled into Mill Creek Sports, the iconic ski shop owned by our officiant Wayne where Josie's father, Josh, has worked for as long as she can remember. A few beers and plenty of Texas digs later, Kyle found himself with a job, and though he didn't know it at the time, a whole new community that would be core to his and Josie's relationship from the start. Josie knew Kyle first as the new "kid" from the shop whom her dad spoke of often and clearly had a soft spot for. In fact, he liked him so much he invited him to move in, and Kyle was quickly promoted from the "kid" to "best roommate ever." The trajectory continued. Josh wondered weekly why Josie couldn't "date someone like Kyle" which evolved into "why can't you just date Kyle?" In between Josie's visits to Vail, Kyle and Josie started thinking Josh might be on to something. After celebrating Kyle's 30th birthday in Vail, they decided to make it official. A move to San Francisco, Josh's permission to marry his daughter obtained on a chairlift in Snowbird, and a Kansas City proposal to play for keeps later, the rest is history.
