Matron of Honor
Sister of the Bride Rachel's "younger" s(t)ister. She can make friends with ANYBODY and Rachel is convinced even her own friends think she is the cooler sister. She will be the life of the party and probably having the most fun. And you will hear her laugh multiple times on the wedding day!
Best Man
Friend of the Groom Better known as "Norm", he is the only one who may compete with Karrie for Life of the Party! Friends since middle school, and the early days of showing pigs and cattle in 4H. They can spend hours breaking down Iowa State sports, or have entire conversations just using movie quotes. From cruising around in Norm's Buick LeSabre, to shaving his eyebrow, there are too many shenanigans to count. Please don't tell him to flex his triceps, or he will be doing it all night....seriously ALL night.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride Rachel + Anna shared a bedroom, closet, and bathroom for 3 years in college and are still best friends. They can have a conversation solely on facial expressions and inside jokes. Rachel introduces Anna to people as her non-romantic soulmate and she hates it.
Groomsman
Friend of the Groom Friends since preschool and roommates for 2 years at Iowa State. From endless hours of video games, attending more rock concerts together then they can count (proudly sporting their concert tees and bandanas), and acting out every WWE Wrestlers finishing move, they have remained close friends throughout the years.....Don't be surprised if they bust out an awesome blanket fort in the middle of the dance floor, just for old times sake.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride They have been best friends since college. Jade is a master of social media captions + will have the best dance moves at the reception. Like for real, she is a really good dancer! We decided if we were the real life cast of FRIENDS, Jade would be Rachel.
Groomsman
Friend of the Groom Jordan's 1st friend ever, at the early age of 3 in Underwood Elementary "Pre"-Preschool. Josh still lives in Underwood where he is a true jack-of-all-trades, a life-flight dispatcher, painter/handyman, and bartender. When they were younger, they thought it'd be a good idea to have a boxing match in Jordan's basement with foam hulk hands...spoiler alert: it was not a good idea!
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride Best friends since high school + a "Dotte Original" like Rachel, they used to live down the street from one another. Rachel knew Jessica was about to become her best friend because of a Facebook status Rachel made about an OPI nail polish and Jessica knew exactly what she was talking about. Jessica has been keeping Rachel's hair fabulous for the last decade. But for real, if you are in the KC area and need a hairstylist...hit us up!
Groomsman
Friend of the Groom Friends since college and roommates for 2 years after college in Des Moines. "Raph", as we call him, still lives in Des Moines where he and his current roommate are notorious for baking multiple cakes and eating them all in one day! (Be sure to get to the cake table first!). But don't be fooled, Raph is a biking and workout junkie, who will definitely have the best calves at the reception. Seriously, check out his calves.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride Danielle, also known as "Georgia" and Rachel, also known as "Kansas" met in Toledo, OH during a Blue Key Conference in college and bonded over cats. They somehow kept in touch and have grown their friendship rooted in God and Dave Ramsey. Ever wondered why Rachel is SO into Dave Ramsey? Georgia is the girl to thank for that! And she has a career in Forestry. How cool is that?!
Groomsman
Brother of the Groom Erik is Jordan's older brother. In true older brother fashion, when they were young, Erik put mud in a tin pan and told Jordan it was chocolate pudding....and Jordan ate it!! Don't worry, the wedding cake will be actual cake!
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride Yes, you read that right. Rachel Marshall reached out to Rachel Marshall and they found out they have the same exact (to the spelling!) first, middle, AND last names. And if that's not creepy enough, they even look like they can be related. Rachel is from Michigan and they have hung out multiple times in KC and have sent each other Christmas cards and packages in the mail over the years. The RNM's have been confusing people on Facebook since 2007 and Rachel Marshall felt like she had to have the other Rachel Marshall up there with her on her last day as a Marshall!
Groomsman
Brother of the Groom The younger brother, Nick followed in his brothers' footsteps and is currently attending Iowa State University. As the star athlete of the family, Jordan is still convinced the athletic-gene somehow skipped over him and went all to Nick....although the early years of knee-football and basketball on the Fisher Price hoop in the basement got very intense!
Junior Bridesmaid
Niece of the Bride She is the living version of 13 going on 30. Always so mature for her age, Rachel sometimes forgets who the aunt is here in this situation! Her kindness + giving heart always inspires Rachel to want to be like Grace when she grows up. You will probably find her taking care of others on the wedding day!
Groomsman
Brother of the Bride He will forever be on Rachel's list of top 5 funniest people in the world. We think he is going to try to make The Chicken Dance happen at the reception. Rachel will always remember that one time when he took her to the see The Power Rangers movie in theaters when she was little. It was pretty cool.
Head Usher
Brother-In-Law of the Bride He is one of the biggest KU fans and accepted the fact Rachel is an Iowa State fan when he asked her if she could name any player in the starting lineup of the Iowa State basketball team, and she named them all! If you are a St. Louis Cardinals or Mizzou fan, please don't mention it to him!
Usher
Nephew of the Bride He has seen every episode of The Office, a Big Brother "super fan," and can quote pretty much every line of Napoleon Dynamite; which makes Rachel's heart happy.
Usher
Nephew of the Bride He is the quietest one out of Rachel's family, but when he does say something, it's always good.
Ring Bearer
Nephew of the Groom Nicknamed "Bear", it is only fitting to have him as the Ring "Bear"er for our wedding! Rylan is a true farmer in training, correctly shouting out the name of every farm machinery, animal, or crop he sees. You will be sure to see this little man smiling, laughing, and eating plenty of cake at the reception!
Flower Girl
Niece of the Bride She will probably act like she can't hear or see you when she meets you at first out of shyness. But she will be the biggest ham in all the 28 Event Space land that day.
Flower Girl
Niece of the Groom A true Disney Princess fanatic! It's not strange to find Josie strutting around the house in her various princess dresses, or singing along to Frozen. Jordan knew she inherited the Pedersen sweet tooth when one of her first words were, "Mmm Pie!!" We know somebody will be waiting at the cake table and she will definitely be one of the first people on the dance floor!
Officiant
Matt has been a major influence in Rachel and Jordan's faith journey. They met Matt at Cross Points Church in the "Starting Point Small Group". They quickly learned Matt would be starting a Church Plant later that year and they decided to join him in planting Park City Church. Don't be surprised if Matt's sermon is full of Dad Jokes and stories of his twin daughters!
