Quinn and Natalie met at a local Oktoberfest festival while they both were living in Washington state. Quinn remembered Natalie's favorite restaurant, Cactus, and took her there for their first date. A couple weeks later, Quinn invited Natalie to his apartment where he cooked her a delicious meal of Sandhill Crane he had shot himself, and they talked for hours. She noticed he had a snowboard, and with her being a skier, and the sport being such a big love of hers, she was excited to spend more time together. They spent the next few months in the mountains before making it official! They have since been on so many other adventures outdoors- hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, spending time at the beach, so it's only fitting why they moved to Alaska! They both made the move permanently in February 2022 with their dog Maverick and couldn't be more in love with the place they now call home.
Almost 2 years after moving to Alaska, Natalie had planned a girl's trip with her closest friends from college for a ski weekend in Alaska. They spent time in Girdwood, at the Nordic Spa and skiing at Skeetawk in Hatcher Pass. Little did Natalie know that Quinn was also planning a weekend surprise of his own on the side with her friends. Natalie wasn't expecting this at all. While teaching her friends to ski at Skeetawk, they stopped to take group photos at the top of the hill and met up with Quinn who was on a break from his volunteer ski patrol shift that day. We snapped a few photos and then Hannah, (Matron of Honor), took a couple photos of both Quinn and Natalie. Hannah was actually taking a video when Quinn got down on one knee to propose. Natalie was in shock and completely surprised! Quinn pulled off the proposal of her dreams!
