Things To Do

The YMCA of the Rockies is filled with multiple things to do! Also, beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park is a short drive away - or there is a trailhead into the park from the YMCA property. If hiking and outdoor activities aren't your thing, Estes Park has a charming downtown to visit as well.

YMCA of the Rockies Estes Park Center

(When online, be sure to check out the Estes Park Center as there are two YMCA's of the Rockies in Colorado.) A diverse range of activities includes hiking, mountain biking, pottery and crafts, archery, nature programs, and more! Check out the weekly schedule of activities on the YMCA website.

Rocky Mountain National Park

**Please note that RMNP is transitioning to a timed ticket entry this summer. Tickets to enter within a certain timeframe become available one month in advance. You'll want to plan any trips to RMNP in advance!**

Estes Park

Estes Park is a charming town. Visit main street for shopping, restaurants, and ice cream cone, etc! We loved the food at Ed's Cantina, the coffee at Kind Coffee and Inkwell and Brew and the Macdonald Book Shop. On the way to town is the restaurant Bird and Jim - we thought they had great food and a spectacular view! Lake Estes has a nature sanctuary trail and a marina for water activities. We haven't been but Coffee on the Rocks and the Rock Inn Mountain Tavern are on the road to downtown Estes Park and are highly recommended for food and the view.
