Question

What documentations do I need for Italy?

Answer

1.) Passport: Double check your expiration date! Some countries require that your passport have at least 6 months of validity beyond the dates of your trip. Please ensure you allow enough time (4-6 weeks for US) to get a new passport. 2.) ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System): Check if the application is available. The program had been delayed several times. Italy will require all visitors to apply for ETIAS once available. Here is the url for your convenience: https://etias.com/etias-application

Question

What is Castello di Ristonchi's website?

Answer

https://www.ristonchi.com/

Question

What is the property like (Castello di Ristonchi)?

Answer

Ristonchi Castle is a rustic, 1,000-year-old medieval castle surrounded by olive groves and a forest of chestnut trees and wild edibles.  It's not a regular hotel - it's a CASTLE with a rustic feel! There won't be daily cleanings, but all of the basics will be provided for you, such as clean sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, toilet paper, soap and shampoo.  The furnishings are typical Tuscan style, and some of the bathrooms are small and quirky, but that's the fun of staying in an old castle. There is no air conditioning in summer. The thick stone walls and fresh mountain breeze should keep you comfortable, or there is a fresh mountain spring water pool that will definitely do the trick!  There are limited paid laundry services as well as a steamer service for your wedding attire. There is a bar and small shop where you can buy coffee, drinks, ice cream and snacks. The castle is secluded so please bring everything special (like medication) you'll need for the weekend with you.

Question

Do I need to book a room?

Answer

We have the room covered for the nights at Castello di Ristonchi! You will be staying on the property the nights of May 26-28 (3 nights). If you plan to explore Italy before or after these dates (which we highly recommend to see more of beautiful Italy), you will need to secure other accommodations as we will all need to depart the Castello on May 29th.

Question

Are there any other accommodations?

Answer

Here are two options close to Castello di Ristonchi. If choosing to stay at either location, you will need to cover the reservations on your own and we recommend also renting a car. Please let us know if you decide to stay off-property, so we can make adjustments on our end. VILLA GRASSINA: 5 mins by car or 20 mins walk on a forest road (not recommended to walk at night) www.villagrassina.it *When making a reservation, please let them know it is part of a group staying at Ristonchi. FLORENCE HILLS RESORT & SPA: 10 mins by car https://www.theflorencehills.it/en/ *When making a reservation, please let them know it is part of a group at Ristonchi.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a time of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that no children attend our celebrations unless explicitly expressed by us. We thank you for your understanding and hope you that you will still be able to attend.

Question

I have a food allergy or dietary restrictions, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know as soon as possible, so we can ensure the Castello di Ristonchi staff is aware.

Question

If we want to honor you with a gift, where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with gift, a contribution to our honeymoon or our first house will be greatly appreciated. If you wish to honor us with physical gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 250 South Ave. Apt 3D Fanwood, NJ 07023. A wedding card box will be at our reception.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We appreciate your interest in bringing a guest, but due to venue requirements, we are only able to invite the people listed on the invitation. This also means, they will be unable to stay on the property as each person needs to be registered by us. We appreciate your understanding.
