Silver Queen Gondola
Scenic and gentle, with jaw dropping views at the top. Enjoy lunch or a spritz on the sun deck! Tickets are purchased in the lift office at the base of the gondola.
Maroon Bells Scenic Area
One of the most photographed spots in Colorado. No strenuous hiking required to see these mountains! For the more adventurous, there are many trails around Maroon Lake. Visit the website to buy your shuttle ticket and enjoy the history tour as well as the once in a lifetime views.
Snowmass Thursday Concerts (FREE)
If you're in town early, don't miss the free Thursday night concerts in Snowmass Village- one of the most special local traditions. Held right on the grassy ski slopes, you can spread out a blanket, enjoy great live music, and take in stunning views down the valley as the sun sets behind the stage. With lots of fun restaurants near by, its easy to have a fun night out.
North Star Nature Preserve
For those wanting a little adventure while you’re in town, join a scenic float down the North Star Nature Preserve with Aspen Whitewater Rafting. This easy-going paddle board trip winds through calm waters with stunning mountain views—it’s a favorite local summer activity! Transportation, paddle boards and a possible moose sighting are all included.
Aspen Saturday Market
The Aspen Saturday Market is the perfect pre-wedding stroll. Pick up fresh goodies, flowers, or a local treat to enjoy while you get ready for the big day. Think of it as a little mountain-town warm-up before the real celebration begins! Open from 8:30am to 2pm.
Basalt Sunday Market
If you're around for the weekend, don't miss the Basalt Sunday Market! A true small- town gem just minutes from the hotels. Held every Sunday from 10am-2pm this outdoor market offers everything from local produce and handmade goods to fresh pastries, flowers, art and live music- all set in a walkable, riverside downtown. It's the perfect way to sip a coffee, explore the town and soak in the relaxed Colorado mountain vibe after a big night out the night before.
Rio Grande Trail and E Bikes
Rent an e-bike and cruise the scenic Rio Grande Trail- it's mostly flat and super fun. A favorite local ride is from Aspen or Basalt to Woody Creek tavern for a laid-back lunch and a famous margarita. Easy, beautiful and a great way to enjoy the mountains without overdoing it! Woody Creek Tavern
A local gem with tons of character, Woody Creek Tavern is one of our favorite spots for a laid-back lunch or margarita break. Just outside of Aspen, it's colorful, quirky and full of history. (Hunter S. Thompson was a regular!) It's the perfect pit-stop if you're biking the Rio Grande Trail or just exploring!
Paradise Bakery & Cafe
One of our all-time favorite spots in Aspen! Paradise Bakery is the perfect place to start your day with a great cup of coffee and a fresh pastry- or treat yourself to a scoop of ice cream while strolling through town. Cozy, charming and always worth the stop!
