Hemingway's Grave
Ernest Hemingway lived out the last years of his life in Ketchum, ID. He is buried in Ketchum's main cemetery. Fishermen, bibliophiles, and outdoorsmen who visit his grave leave tokens like cigars, whisky, and hand-tied flies.
Java On Fourth
Amazing coffee, friendly staff, and homemade muffins and scones the size of a small planet. Growing up, Maddie and her Mom would run along the river early in the morning before stopping for coffees at Java on the way back to the Lodge!
The Kneadery
Breakfast and fresh-squeezed oj served all day in a homey cabin atmosphere. Pancakes are a can't miss, and their oatmeal with every topping imaginable will keep you full all day.
Chapter One Bookstore
Cutest local bookstore you've ever seen. Smaller than Iconoclast, but great selection nevertheless. Their hand-written book reviews adorning the shelves read like talking to a friend about a great book.
Redfish Lake
Staying in Idaho a bit longer? Take a day trip to Redfish Lake! Located an hour from Sun Valley, you'll climb a steep mountain road that leads to one of the most beautiful lakes with crystal blue water, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. From there you can sit on the beach and eat nachos from the general store (Maddie's preference), or rent paddle boats and canoes out on the lake! Without cell service, you truly feel off the grid.
Sun Valley Chocolate Foundry
Welcome to the candy store that housed the hopes and dreams of the Hunt children growing up. What this little candy store lacks in space it makes up for with variety--homemade fudge, dipped apples, and the best seafoam out there.
