ASPEN/PITKIN COUNTY AIRPORT (ASE)

Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is the most convenient option for arriving in Aspen/Snowmass. Most hotels offer complimentary airport shuttles, and rental cars are available onsite. You can also take the free local bus to Aspen/Snowmass or pay $3 to get to Basalt. For added convenience, consider arranging a taxi or car service in advance—High Mountain Taxi can be reached at 970.925.8294.

Eagle County Regional Airport

Alternatively you can fly into Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), Aspen is about a 1.5-hour drive away. The route along I-70 through Glenwood Canyon is incredibly scenic, with stunning views of the Colorado River and canyon walls. We recommend renting a car or arranging a pickup in advance. Rental car companies are located at the airport.

DRIVING FROM DENVER

Driving through Colorado in the summertime is beautiful. If you choose to fly into Denver International Airport (DIA) and rent a car, the drive to Aspen/Snowmass takes approximately 3.5 hours. You can reach the area via I-70 through Glenwood Springs or by taking the scenic Independence Pass. Independence Pass is a stunning drive if you have the time, but be sure to check the weather and road conditions in advance. If you're staying in Basalt, we recommend taking I-70 for the most convenient route.

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION to ASPEN

* SNOWMASS: Snowmass Village (SM) is a FREE service between Snowmass Village and Aspen. Bus transfers are required at the Brush Creek Park & Ride for downvalley and Aspen bound routes. Brush Creek Park & Ride is located at the intersection of Brush Creek Road and Highway 82 and provides free parking and public transportation both directions; downvalley and upvalley. * BASALT: Basalt Park and Ride in Willits with drop-off in Aspen at Garmisch Street and Hopkins Avenue. ALTITUDE SICKNESS

We are beyond excited to celebrate with you in the colorful state of Colorado! You'll be staying at an elevation above 8,000 ft. while in Aspen. Here are a few recommendations to help acclimate to the higher elevation so you may enjoy the entire wedding weekend of activities! * Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Begin drinking lots of water (2-3) days prior to your arrival in Colorado and continuously throughout your stay * If your schedule and budget allow, plan to arrive (1-2) days prior to the BIG day to allow your body to adjust gradually to the substantial increase in altitude * Alcohol will affect you faster than normal.
