The Wedding Website of Nicole Salas and Jed Abello
For our US adventurers, this trip will require travel across land sea and air. The simplest travel path to get to Boracay is US > Manila > Caticlan > Boracay. There are travel paths that may add more stops but this path will make it the simplest and least time consuming for you.

Flight

Manila or Cebu!

Your first flight to the Philippines should be for Manila at Ninoy Aquino International Airport or Cebu at Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The only direct route from the US is with Philippine Airlines and can be booked through their website! Please consider layovers for more cost effective travel options.

Flight

Godofredo P. Ramos Airport (Caticlan)

Your second destination will be Caticlan! Your best options will be booking a short flight from Manila or Cebu directly to Caticlan. Flights leave at hourly intervals from Manila to the Caticlan airport.

Travel Note

Getting to Boracay

Caticlan is a jump-off point to Boracay from the Jetty Port. Public bancas (small motorized boats) from the jetty port transport passengers to the centralized boat station on the island and this takes about 10 minutes. Boats run every five minutes and are on a first-come first-serve basis. Private boat transfers from the port direct to your resort can be arranged through your hotel or Amanda.

Travel Note

Alternative Options

For those we are thinking of staying in a different resort there are many options available in Boracay. The island is divided into 3 sections that all offer different options based on resort, restaurants, nightlife, shopping etc. I have posted a link that provides a detailed guide on each station in Boracay and also has a guide for the hotels in each section. Keep in mind that the Shangri-La is located in section 1 so if you are planning to stay in a hotel in section 2 or 3 you may need to hail a tricycle to get to the Shang. Our wedding planner Amanda Tirol will be reaching out to everyone individually to offer her assistance with travel arrangements. She has a list of hotels with discounted rates for our guests. Feel free to ask her for help with accommodations as well as any other questions you might have!
