Question

How long should we stay in the Philippines?

Answer

You are most welcome to stay as long or short as you like. The hotel has kindly offered to extend the preferential rates for the duration of your stay (trust us, you won’t want to leave). The only variable we would ask you to consider is that flight delays, missed flights, and or flight cancellations can happen, so if it is feasible for you to do so, please try not to cut it too close to the wedding day, as we really want you to be with us on Wednesday, February 23rd!

Question

How much is the cost of transportation in Manila/Boracay?

Answer

Manila There is a lot of taxi scams in Manila so we do not recommend this method of transportation. It's best to use "Grab" app (their form of Uber). From the airport to Makati city depending on the day and time, grab charges P150 - P350 ($3-$7). If you happen to be in a hurry and can't wait for grab, use metered taxis! Boracay When you land at the airport you transfer via tricycle to Caticlan Jetty Port, cost around P160 ($3.25). Upon arrival at the jetty port, proceed to the booths near the entrance to the building and settle the Terminal Fee P100 ($2), Environmental Fee P75 ($1.75) and Ferry Fare P25 ($0.50c). You will dock at either Cagban or Tambisaan Port. Either way, there are tricycles waiting here that can take you to your hotel. If your hotel is in the White Beach Area, cost is P100 ($2) per ride. Private boat transfers from the port direct to your resort can be arranged through your hotel.

Question

Why Shangri-La Boracay resort?

Answer

Aside from Shangri-La's Boracay Resort and Spa offering a secluded and exclusive experience, there are a couple of perks that this resort offers! Upon arrival by air on Caticlan, guests are welcomed by Shangri-la staff and are whisked to Shangri-La's lounge at the port. From there it's around 20 minutes by private speed boat to the resort's own jetty on the edge of an eco-park. So instead of traveling to Caticlan Airport and taking ground transportation then a ferry then to a taxi once in Boracay (2 hr travel time) choosing Shangri-La Boracay cuts travel time to 20 min. A personalized, easy, luxurious entrance to the island. The resort is set on an almost 30 acre tropical garden above a 250-meter-long beach on the north-eastern corner of the island; with over 200 rooms, suites and villas, four restaurants, two bars, spa, huge pool, shopping arcade and every other amenity one would expect from a five-star hotel, there's little reason to leave the grounds.

Question

Answer
