Question

How can I book my room?

Answer

To confirm your rooming preference please email Sonya at schyerinspired@gmail.com. If you have any questions about options please call Sonya at 253-820-5518. Everything is reserved as part of the wedding buyout, Lakedale will handle all payment once you arrive at the resort. We will try to accommodate all preferences but family and people will specific needs will take priority. All rooming preferences must be submitted by July 15th, 2021.

Can I book my room directly with Lakedale Resort?

Answer

All the rooms are technically already booked. Payment must be handled at check-in through Lakedale Resorts. Sonya is arranging the rooming preference list that she will hand over to Lakedale to complete the check-in process.

Can I fly directly to San Juan Island?

Answer

No, the easiest flight option is to fly into Bellingham and take the commuter plane but direct commercial flights do not fly to San Juan Island. Please see our travel page for more details.

Do I have to come for both nights?

Answer

No, but we encourage it. Because of the buyout of the resort we are encouraging people to stay for at least two nights. Also travel to the island is somewhat difficult so we encourage everyone to get the full experience and celebrate with us for the weekend! Please let us know how many nights you plan to stay.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

By May 2021! Ferry tickets will be available in late July so we will be booking a group of tickets for the ferries as well. If you are uncertain, but would like to try and attend please let us know. Late RSVPs (anything after August 1st, 2021) will not be guaranteed prime accommodations.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The Hawaiian Luau on Friday is "Hawaiian Style" so essentially casual and however you feel most comfortable. Please dress for the fall Washington weather. The Wedding day is "Woodsy Fancy, Fall Boho Glamour". We know this may seem complicated so just wear what makes you feel great! Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We love kids please just RSVP with who all is attending, we are looking to arrange a babysitter to help with the evening so parents can enjoy and dance the night away. More info to come :)

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

The dinner will be a buffet with multiple stations, all food allergies will be marked on the dishes, there will be many gluten-free, vegetarian and shellfish-free dishes. If you have special requests please include that in your RSVP.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is free parking throughout Lakedale Resort.

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony?

Answer

Golf carts will be available to and from the ceremony. Walking is encouraged.
