Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Kaitlin Kehoe and Nick May
Weather up in the Sawtooths is unpredictable. Last year it was sunny in May and snowy in June. Please be prepared for anything! That being said, there's plenty to explore in and around Stanley including hiking, fishing, hunting and hot springs. Check out Stanley's website for a comprehensive list of activities, outfitters and recommendations: https://stanleycc.org/blog/posts/spring-guide/ Nearby towns include McCall (~3 hours from Stanley) and Ketchum (~1 hour from Stanley), where you'll find more amenities like spas, restaurants, breweries, hotels, ski resorts, golf courses, etc.

The Sawtooths are home to many alpine lakes, with Redfish being the most accessible. The lake is beautiful and is a quick 10 minute drive from Stanley. You can make reservations at Redfish Lake Lodge for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. They also have pontoon rentals and boat cruises for dinner. They offer other activities such as horseback riding and mountain bike rentals - but definitely check with them for availability in May.

Natural Hot Springs

Natural Hot Springs

Stanley, ID 83278

Idaho has a ton of natural hot springs! Closest to town: Sunbeam, Cove Creek & Boat Box hot spring. Your best bet is Sunbeam hot springs (15 minutes from Stanley), and you'll pass Cove Creek and Boat Box on your way there! Hot Springs located on the drive from Boise to Stanley on Highway 21: *Kirkham (~1hr drive from Stanley): This is Idaho's most popular hot spring. It has a waterfall and is right on the river. You will often see a decent amount of people here. *Bonneville (~45 drive from Stanley): This is one of our favorite hot springs. You have to hike or snowshoe a half mile in to this spring. There is a bathtub up top, but follow the trail all the way down to the river for some prime soaking spots.

Sawtooth Valley Pioneer Park

1-1102 Airport Road, Stanley, ID 83278

Pioneer Park has an amazing view of the Sawtooth Peaks. Go on a walk, play some frisbee golf or chill on one of the swinging benches and enjoy the beautiful view.
