Jameson Distillery Bow St.
There are a few different options when visiting. You can do the full distillery tour, which can include a tasting, or you can head right into the gift shop and bar to shop and try some delicious cocktails!
Guinness Storehouse
What's more Irish than Guinness?! The brewery/ storehouse tour is a blast! You can go on a self guided or guided tour. At the end, there's an awesome restaurant with food that's completely Guinness inspired!
Ghostbus Tour
This is something fun we did on our 2nd trip. It takes you through some of Dublin's haunted history, including taking you to the room where Bram Stoker wrote Dracula!
Trinity College Dublin
Trinity College is one of Ireland's oldest Universities, opening in 1592. The campus itself is beautiful, but it's most widely known feature is that it is where the Book of Kells is on Display!
Irish Whiskey Museum
If you're a fan of Irish Whiskeys, than you have to check out the Irish Whiskey Museum!
Wicklow Mountains National Park
Wicklow Mountains National Park is one of my favorite drives/ hiking areas and is most famous for being featured in the movie P.S. I Love You. In the early spring, yellow flowers cover the mountains, but in the summer, those flowers turn a beautiful purple! Covering the mountainsides, it's almost like the mountains are purple!
Ring of Kerry
One of the most popular drives in Ireland is the Ring of Kerry, and it's not surprising! This drive takes about an hour and a half to do the entire scenic drive, if you don't stop, which is not going to happen. Starting and ending in the beautiful town of Kenmare, you will end up doing a loop that will take you from the mountains, past waterfalls, through forests, to the coast, and back. There's plenty to do along the way as well, including hikes, manor and farm tours, great restaurants, and beautiful photo opportunities!
Sean's Bar
This is Ireland's oldest pub, dating back to 900 AD! Running for over 1,000 years, this is a great stop!
Top of Coom Ireland's Highest pub
On the way to the Ring of Kerry, stop by the Top of Coom. A beautiful drive through the hills, you'll make your way up to the highest elevation pub in Ireland! With beautiful views and a friendly atmosphere, you can't go wrong!
Cliffs of Moher
One of Ireland's most popular attractions are the Cliffs of Moher. Enjoy a beautiful walk along the coastline or climb out closer to the edge for a truly jaw dropping experience. This is one of the the best photo opportunities as well!
McDermott's Pub
After seeing the Cliffs of Moher, you HAVE to stop by McDermott's Pub! This is one of our favorite pubs, in one of our favorite towns. Known for having amazing food, great drinks, and traditional Irish music.
Bunratty Castle & Folk Park
Bunratty Castle is an amazing, historical site that you can go and explore. The best way to experience the castle is by doing the Medieval Times dinner, which includes great food and wonderful music. It's absolutely worth your time! Afterwards, stop by Durty Nelly's Pub!
Durty Nelly's
Established in 1620, Durty Nelly's is one of the most copied Irish Pubs in the world. With an amazing view of Bunratty Castle, right next door, you can enjoy a Guinness and some live music. This pub is also near and dear to my family, as it was one of my Grandfather's favorites.
Galway City
Galway is one of our FAVORITE cities in Ireland. Located on the west coast, the shopping, music, and night life will keep you busy.
Abbeyglen Castle Hotel
As you make your way up the coast, you HAVE to stay at Abbeyglen! This was one of our favorite hotels, still in the original family, established in the 1800's. The owner, Brian, goes above and beyond to make your experience, unforgettable. The food is great, and the music performed in the piano bar will completely blow your mind!
Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort
Should you decide to head north, towards Belfast, and want a completely relaxing experience, there's no better place than Galgorm. Their food is Michalen rated, and their thermal spa is out of this world. Plus, it's absolutely beautiful out there!
Giant's Causeway
This is area is unique due to the amazing, naturally occurring phenomenon that caused all of the rocks to be shaped as hexagons. Located on the cost, it's one of the most popular attractions in Northern Ireland.
Bushmills Distillery
Known as Northern Ireland's most popular whiskey, the Bushmills Distillery has a wonderful tour, gift shop, and whiskey tasting.
Kinnitty Castle Hotel
We stayed at Kinnitty Castle on our most recent tour through Ireland. If you're in for beautiful views, and a truly haunting experience, spend a night at Kinnitty Castle. And yes, we mean haunting. The staff will enjoy telling you the history of the castle and what causes the mysterious occurrences.
Barberstown Castle
Another one of our stops on our last tour was Barberstown Castle Hotel. Enjoy the laid back atmosphere and live music they have at the pub every Friday night!
