FAQs

The Wedding Website of Andrew Sahawneh and Hannah Greenfield
We know there will be a lot to plan and coordinate - let us help you by answering some common questions!
Question

What should we wear?

Answer

Suggested dress code is formal attire, which means you can dress up as nice as you'd like! Suits and ties for men, or a jacket and nice pants. For women, dressy cocktail outfits or long dresses work great! There are not specific dress code rules at the site, however, the ceremony is taking place in a Catholic church, and as such, we ask that you respect the sanctuary as a sacred place, and the ceremony as a sacred sacrament.

Question

How does the hotel room block work?

Answer

A room block is a set of rooms Andrew and I have set aside to guarantee for our wedding guests. These rooms have a special rate, but only for a limited time. They release remaining rooms after July 27th 2019, so please book before this date! There are no other hotels in the downtown area, and other accommodations will be very limited. For this reason, we have set aside a generous amount of rooms for our guests! To reserve, you can use the link in the Travel section of the website. You can also call the hotel directly. Please ask for the "Eye Doc Wedding Block" (there is actually another block in the hotel for a group with similar names to ours, so please be careful to select our block). If you have any issues, or the block is "full," please just call either Andrew or Hannah and we can arrange for more rooms!

Question

Will I need to rent a car?

Answer

NO! We understand you are going the distance to make it to our wedding weekend and we are SO THANKFUL! The hotel has a free shuttle that runs from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm every day of the week. Please call ahead and arrange to use it! It goes to many places in downtown. We will also be arranging transport to and from the hotel and reception sites for hotel guests throughout the weekend. Everything in the downtown area is walkable from the hotel (including the reception site). There is always Uber, Lyft, and taxi services if you want to explore further out than downtown!

Question

When should we get there?

Answer

The shuttle from The DoubleTree Hotel will leave the hotel at 1:15 pm and 1:30 pm. We ask that all guests arrive to the church 15 minutes prior so we can begin the ceremony at 2:00 pm.

Question

When are the RSVPs due?

Answer

Please have your formal RSVP from the invitation suite in the mail by July 5th, 2019! Please indicate all guests attending.

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

ABSOLUTELY! Andrew and I love family, so we want to celebrate with ALL of yours! There will be a "cry room" available at the church, so please feel free to use it if you think you want/need to. The venue does have a bar and lounge, so we ask that no one under 21 years of age drink alcohol. We also want our guests to know anyone who looks young may be asked for ID at the bar at the beginning of the night!

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Please let us know in your RSVP! We will let our caterers know, and they will have a separate meal prepared for you. At the reception, just let a server know and they'll bring your meal out to you!
