By Car – Driving from Northern California Approximate Travel Time: 5ish hours from the Bay Area Main Route: We usually take Route 108 but Tioga Road (Route 120) via Yosemite is a breathtaking choice if you're feeling inspired. Either option connects to 395 but do check for closures just to be safe. By Car – Driving from Southern California Approximate Travel Time: 4.5-5 hours from LA area Main Route: The 395 is your best bet here. By Air - Bishop Airport (Eastern Sierra Regional Airport) Location: About a 45-minute drive south of Mammoth Lakes Flights: Several major airlines have begun offering service (United, Alaska, Delta, American, Southwest) to Bishop. Ground Transportation: Rental cars and shuttle services are available at the airport for the short drive up US-395 to Mammoth Lakes.

The main lodge in Mammoth, the Village is located in the center of town and has a variety of restaurants and shops right just steps from your room as well as access to the trolley.

Located at the base of Mammoth Mountain, this option is at the highest altitude of the hotels listed. It's a short drive up the road from the Village and Juniper Springs but is right next to the Mammoth Mountain Gondola and the shuttle down to Red's Meadow.

Just outside of the downtown area, Juniper Springs offers rooms with beautiful views and is on the trolley line that you can ride to all major areas in Mammoth.
