Flying In

The closest major airport is Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). For more flight options, Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is approximately a 2-hour drive via I-80 East. It's a straight forward route that we (Sam and Michelle) are very familiar with, but we do recommend avoiding Friday afternoon commute hours.

Rental Car

Getting Around

We encourage having a car (or friend/family with a car). The availability of rideshare services (Uber/Lyft) is very limited outside of Reno. For those who prefer to avoid driving, there are private shuttle companies available for transfers (i.e., North Lake Tahoe Express). And there is also free public transit available within the Lake Tahoe area via TART or TTD.

Wedding Shuttle

The Mt. Rose Winters Creek Lodge is located along Highway 431, a scenic mountain stretch. For guests staying at the hotel, we will provide a complimentary shuttle service to and from the venue for your convenience. The specific departure and return times will be announced closer to the wedding date. To help us plan capacity, please indicate in your RSVP if you are likely to utilize the wedding shuttle!

Hyatt Place Reno

For guests who prefer a hotel or want to be closer to the airport and Reno amenities, we reserved discounted room blocks which include breakfast, parking, and wifi. The hotel is 20 min from the wedding at Mt. Rose and 45 min away from Lake Tahoe (Sand Harbor State Park). House Or Rental

VRBO at Lake Tahoe

For guests traveling as a family or group, we suggest booking a home or condo through VRBO or AirBnB. We recommend staying in Incline Village, NV or the neighboring city of Kings Beach, CA. Incline Village is at Lake Tahoe and located 20 min from the wedding at Mt. Rose.
