We respectfully request no children (or pets) at the wedding, allowing all of our guests to enjoy an adults-only evening. All are welcome to attend the Sunday sendoff at Sand Harbor Sand Park. Please note that the State Park does not allow pets at this time of year. For the most current information, we recommend checking the State Park website.
Mt. Rose Winter Creek Lodge is located at 8,260 ft. Sand Harbor State Park/Incline Village is located at approximately 6,000 ft. Reno is located at approximately 4,500 ft. If you're not used to a high elevation, it can be helpful to arrive a day early to acclimate. Staying hydrated before and during the wedding is key. Keep in mind that alcohol tends to hit harder at altitude — one drink might feel like two or three compared to sea level. That said, most people feel great with a bit of extra water and by taking it easy. We also suggest bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, and layers.
There’s no official after party, but if you'd like to keep celebrating, there are plenty of late night bars and casinos in Reno. There are less options in Tahoe but there is Paddle Wheel in Incline Village and The Grid in Kings Beach.
