Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Michelle Eckard and Sam Follett
There’s so much to do in North Lake Tahoe, from hiking and mountain biking to hanging out at or in the lake. Also nearby is Reno, the "Biggest Little City in the World". Below are a few of our summer time favorites.

Tahoe East Shore Trail

1924 Tahoe Blvd, Incline Village, NV 89451

A scenic 3-mile paved portion of the Tahoe Trail from Incline Village to Sand Harbor State Park with many spots for beach access. Perfect spot for a walk, run, or bike (bike rentals available). From this same parking lot, we also suggest checking out Monkey Rock trail for a short but steep trail with great views (2.6 miles roundtrip). Paid hourly parking from 7 AM - 7 PM.

Mt. Rose Peak Trail

24705 Mt Rose Hwy, Reno, NV 89511

If you are looking for a challenge, climb Tahoe's third tallest peak (10 miles roundtrip) or you can cut the hike in half and turn around at the Mt. Rose waterfall. Make sure to pack enough water!

Music on the Beach (Friday) / Kings Beach

Bear St, Kings Beach, CA 96143

Free live music every Friday night at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area. A staple for Michelle's mom. If you're not here on a Friday evening, Kings Beach is still a great place to check out during the day, but can get very crowded on the weekends. We like to bring our paddleboards to paddle away from the crowds. Rentals are available for SUPs, kayaks, jet skis, etc.

Alibi Ale Works - Incline Public House

931 Tahoe Boulevard, Incline Village, NV 89451

After a day on the slopes, you can usually find Michelle and Sam here enjoying a beer. We often follow it up with dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.

Hot August Nights

Reno, NV 89502

If you like classic cars, check out Hot August Nights, an annual car show event held in Reno.
