This girl has been basically a sister to me since we met way back in 2009 before I got to Olathe North. When she made the decision to transfer schools as well, we were stuck together. I've been across the country with her, and her family has accepted me as a part of theirs. 6 years away from me in New York City did not stop this friendship. As soon as she moved back it, was business as usual. She now works with me at the Olathe School District as an Autism Paraeducator. ~Monica
Paige Kasick
Maid of Honor
Paige is one of the coolest people we know! Between working with us through the rushes at Joes KC to becoming a regular at our place for a while. She has been a welcome friend to bond with in terms of life experience and a genuine joy. This bad ass chick is fluent in ASL and Spanish and has some of the coolest tattoos you will ever see. She is currently working on multiple degrees in education and spanish at KU to make a wonderful impact in the world.
Kailynn (Romy) Barnt
Bridesmaid
Kailynn was one of the first people that I met at Olathe North through theater and the musicals way back in 2010. I am incredibly proud of the person she has become today. She was a roommate of Kennedy's and I when we all lived in Manhattan, Kansas. She is currently working on a degree in IT/Computer Science while simultaneously studying ballet, contemporary dance, and aerial arts. She is a dear longtime friend to both Kennedy and I.
Gabe Diaz-Serrano
Bridesman
Gabriel is not only Monica's (no longer little) brother but a long time friend of Kennedy's since before we got together. He is a graduate in Communications from Emporia and sets up and helps run disc golf tournaments all over the country! Lover of theatre and music, Gabe will also be our Emcee for the evening at the reception. We are so proud of who he has become.
