Kennedy moved to Olathe, Kansas in the summer of 2012. Later that Fall, we met in Olathe North's production of Guys and Dolls. As a new kid in her sophomore year, Kennedy kept to herself. However, as a senior in the Theatre program, I decided to try to befriend the kid I saw sitting on the stairs alone backstage. As many extroverts do to their introvert counterparts, I adopted Kennedy as an underclassman friend. We bonded over music, singing, and Doctor Who, among other things. Kennedy was kind enough to even help me move into my first dorm room after I graduated that year. Due to the distance between where we both attended schools, we drifted apart for a bit. Two years later when in Olathe, I recieved a last minute call asking for Volunteers to help with Project Graduation (Thank you, Momma Stahl) where I ran into Kennedy and reconnected. She came to live with Kailynn and I in Manhattan, KS for a semester when she decided to attend Kansas State University, where we became even closer friends than before. However at semester, she decided the school was not for her and moved back to Olathe. I followed soon after in the Spring of 2016 after re-evaulating my degree path and deciding to switch schools. She became one of my closest friends and supported me through all of my trials and tribulations such as two abusive partners, my mental health journey, and changes with schools and degrees. After 5 years of friendship, Kennedy decided to ask me to be her girlfriend in September of 2017. Together we have helped eachother through my degrees, her transition, Covid, and much, much more. We are excited to take this next step in our lives together in May of 2022.
