Visit Historic Main Street
Make sure to visit Sheridan's Historic Main Street! Downtown you can experience a plethora of good food, great drinks, and a variety of shopping. Find all your sporting good needs at The Sports Stop, discover antiques at the Best Out West, and, of course, make sure to stop by the bride's own family store, Babe's Flowers!
Experience Rodeo Week
The Sheridan WYO Rodeo is an experience you will never forget! Take advantage of all the fun that this week long event holds. Attend the rodeo, have fun at the carnival, participate in the Friday parade activities, and dance the night away at the two-night street dance. Rodeo week will happen the week before the wedding, so if you're in town you definitely don't want to miss it!
The Paint Post
Get in touch with your artistic side by painting a masterpiece at The Paint Post! Make sure to sign up for one of their step-by-step painting classes and enjoy a nice glass of wine while you're there. We have gone on a couple of dates here, so it's perfect for date night!
King’s Saddlery
King's is legendary in Sheridan! Stop by their store front to get one of their King Ropes hats, made famous by celebrities such as Johnny Depp and Henry Cavill. Then go to the back and check out the Don King Museum that is full of western memorabilia and the beautiful saddles that made King's a legend!
WYO Theater
With the bride being a theater artist, the WYO Theater is a given recommendation! Here is where the bride grew up studying theater and taking in shows. Try to see a show while you are in town!
Trail End State Historic Site
The historic Kendrick Mansion is a beautiful location to tour and see some of Sheridan's great history! It is also home to the Carriage House Theater, another great spot to see some local theatre.
Cloud Peak Lanes
Cloud Peak Lanes is a bowling alley that is great for families! We went bowling for one of our first dates and is a ton of fun.
YMCA Aquatic Center
The YMCA is fun for the whole family, but we highly recommend the Aquatic Center! It is the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer day and enjoy the newly built water park.
Paradise Falls
Sheridan is home to the stunning Big Horn Mountains! One of our favorite places to visit is Paradise Falls. It is a beautiful 2.5-mile, round-trip hike that takes you through the forest, the meadows, and ends in a gorgeous view with the falls and natural water slides!
Sibley Lake
Escape town for a day or a weekend up at Sibley Lake! In the heart of the Big Horn Mountains, Sibley Lake offers a spot great for summer recreation. Camp at their campground, swim and fish in the lake, and hike the beautiful surroundings!
Red Grade Road
Take an adventurous drive up Red Grade Road! This road takes you up the Big Horn Mountains with many different stops you can make along the way. There are multiple hiking trails off the side of the road, meadows full of wildflowers, and the road ends at Park Reservoir which is perfect for an afternoon picnic!
Java Moon
Java Moon is a coffee shop located downtown on Main Street. It is perfect for your morning cup of joe, lunch hour, or sweet treat pick-me-up. This is just one of our many recommendations for food in town!
Mint Bar
The Mint Bar is another legendary Sheridan spot! It is here that you can enjoy some great local brews and become a real cowboy at this cowboy bar.
Scoops Ice Cream Stand
Scoops is the best place for ice cream in town! Located at Kendrick Park, it is a great place to take the family for a sweet treat. Try our favorite flavors: Morgan's favorite is Black Licorice and Michael's favorite is Mint Chocolate Chip!
QDOBA Mexican Eats
Qdoba Mexican Eats may seem a little off base, but it plays a very large part in our love story. It was at Qdoba that we met and fell in love. We recommend supporting this locally-owned franchise and taste their burritos, nachos, and quesadillas.
Cowboy Cafe
The Cowboy Cafe is a great all-American style diner. This too plays an important role in our love story as it is where we went to dinner on our first date! We recommend the pecan pancakes and a slice of their to-die-for pie!
Big Horn Mercantile
The Big Horn Mercantile is a hole-in-the-wall pizzeria that you can't go wrong with! Their wood-fire pizzas are delicious and their location in Big Horn, WY gives you a beautiful view of the mountains.
Pony Bar & Grill
The Pony Bar & Grill is a great place for dinner! Just a couple blocks from the heart of Main Street, The Pony is perfect for dinner before or after your nightly activities. It is just within walking distance of the movie theater, WYO theater, Mint Bar, and more.
