FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly request Garden Formal attire for our wedding celebration. We invite our guests to dress in elevated, formal attire: suits for men and elegant dresses for women. Our wedding will take place in November in El Salvador, where the weather is warm and tropical, so we encourage lightweight, breathable fabrics. Feel free to embrace prints and bright colors to complement our wedding palette. The wedding party will be held outdoors in a garden setting, so we recommend appropriate footwear for grass. We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing jeans.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

While we wish we could celebrate with everyone, we're only including the guests listed on each invitation. If you have been given a plus one, it will be indicated on your invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

We love having little ones celebrate with us! Children are welcome at the wedding, but if your child needs a break during the ceremony, we kindly ask that you step outside so everyone can enjoy the moment.

Question

What is El Salvador's currency?

Answer

U.S. dollar, easy! Most places take credit cards but if you are visiting small towns other than the capital, San Salvador, you should carry some cash just in case.

Question

Is the country safe?

Answer

El Salvador is the safest it’s ever been and welcomes travelers with open arms.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

El Salvador has tropical weather. In November the temperature in the day is typically in the low 30s °C (around 80–90 °F), with nights cooling to the mid‑teens °C (60–70 °F). There’s a small chance of a light shower, but overall it’s perfect weather for enjoying the lake and celebrating with us outdoors.

Question

Are there any food or water precautions visitors should take?

Answer

We want all our guests to enjoy the delicious flavors of El Salvador safely! To avoid any tummy troubles, we recommend drinking bottled or purified water and being cautious with raw or uncooked foods, including vegetables and salads. Cooked dishes, fresh fruit that can be peeled, and local specialties are generally safe and delightful.

Question

Will there be vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options?

Answer

Yes! Please let us know of any dietary restrictions when you RSVP and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.
