Getting to the East Coast!

While our wedding will be held at the Branford House Mansion, there are many options for flying in and places to stay. We will being doing events/outings all week long for those who fly in early and want to make a New England vacation out of their trip. Late September is the best time of year to be here! You could fly into Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT, Tweed Airport in New Haven, CT, JFK or LaGuardia Airports in NYC, or Rhode Island's airport. We will have more details as the time comes. Typically for this time of year, a round trip flight should be in the $350 (From LAX to BDL). There is a direct flight daily.

Staying in the East Coast

As for hotels, we are working out our discount for a block of rooms. The weekend of the Wedding, we will likely stay at Mohegan Sun Resort Hotel/Casino (most likely Friday, Saturday's and Sunday nights). If you fly in early, Mike's family lives in Wallingford, CT. There are a few nice hotels in the area that will likely cost less than the casino. The town of Mystic is much closer to our venue, which is in Groton, CT. New York City is a great day trip from CT, taking a train ride from New Haven. Rhode Island is also great to see. There are mansions called the Breaker Mansions and a nice boardwalk that are a fun trip. Block Island is a great day trip- there is a ferry that takes you there. Great for warm days! There is also Massachusetts- Boston is a bit of a drive, around 2 hours from Wallingford, CT. It would definitely be worth renting a car to explore around. Parking around here shouldn't be a problem like in LA, so it's worth exploring and making the most of your trip!
