Lyman Orchards

Located on the border of Mike's hometown, Lyman is just one of a TON of orchards in the area. Known for their beautiful hillside scenery, you can shop the Apple Barrel grocery store/bakery/cafe or pick your own of all types of fruits. They also have corn mazes and hayrides in the fall!

The Big E

Sept 17 - Oct 3, 2021. This is New Englands State Exposition. It is a large fair with tons of food, rides, and entertainment. It is approx 1 hour drive from Mike's hometown (much closer to CT's main airport, Bradley International Airport). They are known for having large state buildings for all the states that make up the New England area. Each building has a taste of the best of their state. We will be going after our wedding to officially break our diets! Lots of fun for the whole family! (Busy on weekends, highly recommended to go on a weekday)

Beautiful mansions for sight-seeing in lovely Rhode Island. Our Wedding's castle was designed in the same style as these famous waterfront mansions. The boardwalk is an excellent day trip for boutique shopping and restaurants, especially seafood!

Block Island

Block Island is an awesome day-trip. You can park your car and take a ferry to the island for hiking, restaurants, shopping, or just a nice beach day with great waves. It is an awesome little escape filled with friendly people, lively bars, and scooters for rent. Tip: You can usually get a coupon for the Ferry at ANY Dunkin Donuts in CT in the Summer and Fall seasons!

Coney Island

What is there to say? The world famous Coney Island- the precursor to the Santa Monica Pier. Definitely worth a day-trip if you have the kids or want to enjoy some outdoor rides, some beach time, and a hot dog from Nathan's! Great to start off a day in New York!
