Kari and Melissa met in 7th grade at Roosevelt Middle School and have been great friends ever since. They had numerous slumber parties together, took school dance photos together, visited each other during college, went on a graduation trip to Europe, and were roommates for a year in Portland and have been to Austin together and have had many weekend getaways and camping trips.
Crystal Foley
Bridesmaid
Crystal and Melissa became friends and roommates at the same time. They quickly bonded over a love of baking and hosting parties. They've taken weekend camping trips together, done group halloween costumes together and hosted many parties together. Once they stopped living together they started working together and have become even closer friends!
Lizzy Dreyer
Bridesmaid
Lizzy and Melissa met in 10th grade history class and quickly became friends but their friendship really blossomed when they attended WSU together. They were roommates for three years and enjoyed many nights of college parties and even more nights of staying up late and finding ridiculous ways to procrastinate together. They've traveled to Europe and Austin together and enjoyed many camping and lake trips as well.
Stephanie Hoover
Bridesmaid
Melissa and Stephanie became good friends when they discovered at a karaoke night that they were both in need of a new place to live. They started searching for a place (along with Crystal) and found a great house, and ended up living together about two and a half years in two different homes. Stephanie is Melissa's musical and cultural influence, always introducing her to new music, tv shows, books, podcasts and even keeping her informed of social issues. They've been to several concerts and camping trips together and have also enjoyed many evenings just hanging out at home.
Andrew Hoyt
Best Man
Chris and Andrew met when they were working in the same group for Boeing in Saint Louis. They began carpooling with some other friends and ended up living together for awhile and enjoyed many YouTube Sundays in their apartment. Eventually they were both sent to Seattle on a temporary assignment for Boeing (Chris stayed) and went on many adventures exploring the PNW together. They've remained great friends even when they were living across the country but are enjoying having Andrew back in Seattle on another temporary assignment!
Matt McCrink
Groomsman
Chris and Matt met when Chris was a grad student at The Ohio State University and gave Matt, a prospective PHD Candidate, a tour of the Aerospace Lab. Matt end up at OSU of course and they quickly became close friends. They spent countless hours together at Apropos Cafe while Chris wrote his thesis and Matt did research. They've been on hiking and backpacking trips together and always have a great time when they see each other. They try to meet up at least once a year, and have long chats whenever possible.
Ben Fischer
Groomsman
Chris and Ben met when Ben started working at Boeing in Saint Louis and they quickly bonded over the fact that they had both gone to The Ohio State University. Ben taught Chris how to brew beer, they watched Buckeye games together and went on a trip to the Bahamas where they went diving. After Chris moved away they continued to take trips and last year they went on a 10 day backpacking trip in Banff and Yoho National Parks (Alberta, Canada) and on a trip to Cabo with friends.
Jordan Stringfield

Chris and Jordan met at Boeing when Chris came to Seattle from Saint Louis. They shared a love of beer and the great outdoors. They started brewing beer together in Jordan's basement, having regular family dinners along with some other friends, were on a Whirly Ball team together and now regularly go rock climbing together.

Adler was born 4/26/2019! We can't wait for you to meet him!
Dahlia

Dahlia is our beloved dog. Keep an eye on her around the food at the wedding, or she'll find a way to steal something. We just hope she doesn't get to the cake!
Marcia Homer
Mother of the Bride
Marcia is Melissa's Mom. She was born and raised in Port Angeles- on the very farm where the wedding is being held! She met Bob in high school, but they didn't start dating until they were set up on a double date while attending Peninsula College. Marcia was a teacher in Port Angeles for 30 years. Melissa (who is quickly becoming her mother) inherited a lot from her mom including: her talent for making pie, her need to plan ahead along with some pretty excellent planning skills, her inability to leave the house on time, her taste in foods (for the most part), and so much more!
Bob Homer
Father of the Bride
Bob is Melissa's Dad. He grew up in Port Angeles and worked for Olympic National Park for many years. He built the house where he and Marcia still live and where Melissa and her brother grew up, and he's been continuing to build and work on it for 40 years now! Melissa (who at first glance may seem to be more like her mother in almost every way) inherited his outdoorsy nature, adventurous spirit and desire to always go somewhere new!
Kathy Jensen
Mother of the Groom
Kathy is Chris's Mom. She grew up in Iowa and met Brian at Iowa State University. She and Brian now live in Perrysburg, Ohio, where Chris spent most of this childhood. Kathy worked as a teacher and guidance counselor. Chris picked up his interest in gardening and in playing games like cribbage, push rummy, and backgammon from Kathy.
Brian Jensen
Father of the Groom
Brian grew up in Iowa and spent his career as a Chemical Engineer. He lives in Perrysburg, Ohio with Kathy. Chris inherited a lot from his dad including their scouting skills (Chris was an Eagle scout, Brian was a scout leader), their love of camping, their handiness and construction skills and their need to always have a project to keep them busy.
