Our Story
2020
A mile high beginning
Dylan and Megan met just two weeks after Megan moved to Denver in September of 2019, during Megan's first week at PwC. The two became friends in the spring of 2020, and began dating during the crazy summer of COVID. They took advantage of social distancing in the mountains, and connected off the bat over their love of nature and outdoor activities. Their first major adventure was one of their greatest hiking accomplishments to date: the 4 Pass Loop in Aspen, Colorado (a 4 day, 3 night backpacking trip across 4 mountain passes).
2021
A Rocky Mountain boy
Less than a year after they started dating, Dylan decided to adopt a dog. Rocky, lovingly named after the couple's favorite place, the Rocky Mountains, immediately stole both of their hearts and continues to bring nothing but joy to Dylan and Megs' lives daily. (Bosco on the other hand took a bit longer to warm up to his new, inferior furry companion....). Rocky, Dylan and Megan spent the summer of 2021 roaming around the Colorado, Wyoming and Idaho mountains with lots of hikes, glacier swims, and camping adventures.
2022
New York state of mind
In early 2022, Megan was accepted into the Sustainability Management program at Columbia University in NYC. As Megan immediately began planning the move, the two waited a few months before awkwardly broaching the subject of Dylan making the cross country move with her. Dylan immediately confirmed that he would like to join Megs if she would have him (duh!). The two spent the summer soaking up their favorite state alongside some of their best friends in Denver. With a heartbreaking goodbye, the two moved to New York in August of 2022. The fall of 2022 was spent exploring their new, amazing, big city, including: broadway shows, fabulous dinners, weekends spent with Megan's best friends from college, and most notably the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!
2023
Swiss engagement of our dreams
2023 was a year full of travel, including the pair's best trip EVER to Switzerland! Little did Megan know that Dylan had decided (somewhat last minute) that he wanted to propose while the two were in the gorgeous Swiss Alps. As the two visited Zermatt for the first time, Dylan asked Megan to marry him at the base of one of the most iconic mountains in the world, the Matterhorn! They spent the evening calling their family and friends to share the news, including a FaceTime to Megan's grandma who voiced her excitement and approval. Megan's family lost Grams just 8 days later (a sure sign that their engagement timing was truly perfect).
2024
People, places, and planning
This year has been spent traveling, working long hours, making more amazing friends in the city and planning their wedding! Dylan and Megs are so excited to have their closest friends and family join them on their day. We love each of you so deeply and could not imagine celebrating without you there. We hope to see you in Zermatt! xx- Megs and Dyl
