Zermatt
Zermatt is such a fun ski and mountain town! The town itself has delicious bakeries, restaurants, and bars. There is also gorgeous hikes with iconic views of the Matterhorn. Other activities include gondola rides, mountain carts, a gourmet food trail accessible via hike or bike, a hanging suspension bridge (Hängebrücke), and even skiing (365 days a year!!!). Be sure to check the wedding weekend schedule, as we have a few of the above activities planned already :)
For the Thrill-Seekers
Switzerland has some thrilling experiences to offer! From skydiving, to paragliding, to cliff walks, to cable-hiking (via Ferrata), our adrenaline junkies are sure to find some memorable experiences in Switzerland! Fun fact: Dylan went paragliding in Interlaken when he was studying abroad in college!
Lugano
Lugano and Locarno are lake-side villages in southern Switzerland. They are both in the same region as Lake Como, Italy, and give very similar vibes with gorgeous lakes nestled in between breathtaking mountains. We highly recommend visiting this region of Switzerland for some warmer weather and good Italian food!
Lavaux Vineyards
The gorgeous Lavaux region, nestled in between the cities of Lausanne and Montreux, is the country's hillside vineyards! We recommend spending a day vineyard hopping while taking in the gorgeous view of Lake Geneva and the lake shores of France!
Grindelwald
Grindelwald is the most beautiful little mountain town. Here you can find gorgeous hiking, gondola rides, mountain go-karts and scooters, a sky walk (the First Cliff Walk), and so much more!
Lauterbrunnen
Lauterbrunnen is another gorgeous mountain town about 30 minutes outside of Interlaken and Grindelwald. Here you will find one of the most picturesque waterfalls in all of Switzerland and more gorgeous hiking!
Europe!
Remember that it is super easy (and cheap!!) to travel throughout Europe! We recommend making our wedding a memorable trip of a lifetime and visit other European countries and cities that have been on your bucket-list! Traveling via train or plane is easy and relatively cost effective while you are over there. Megan and Dylan will be heading to the South of France after their wedding, and invite any and everyone to join them on their "buddy-moon"!!!
