Things To Do in Tumut
Tumut River Walk
A visit to Tumut is not complete without a walk along our gorgeous river. It is flat and easy to discover as far or as short as you wish. Keep an eye out for the elusive platypus, you can see them along this walk. There is a lovely cafe 'The Riverside Cafe' at the end of the walk.
Yarrangobilly Caves
Visit the limestone caves at Yarrangobilly and take a dip in the thermal pool. Many walking/hiking tracks in this area too. See a lyrebird up close or take your fishing rod to try your hand at catching a trout.
Adelong Falls Gold Mill Ruins
Site of cultural and historical significance. See the old mill ruins and take a walk around the river. Even have a dip in the cool water!
Tumut River Brewing Co
One of our favourite spots in town! Go get some taster flights to try some of our finest local beers brewed on site or enjoy delicious pizza and burgers. Must do!
Blowering Dam Viewing Point
Take a drive up to the Blowering Dam wall. Walk along the wall to the spill way for interesting historic facts and breathtaking views.
Blue Waterholes Walk
If you have a spare day or a few hours, a visit to Blue waterholes WILL NOT disappoint. There are many walking tracks to enjoy, caves to explore, rivers to cross, waterfalls to chase. Ask us for our recommendations. We have many!
Tumut Visitor Centre
Visit for most up date information about anything Tumut. Ask about hikes and walks, fishing spots, Tumbarumba Rail trail. You can also ask us, we know heaps!
