Maid of Honor
Katrina is the beautiful bride's baby sissy and biggest supporter. The two girls met at the Moncton Hospital on a hot July morning, and have been besties ever since! Almost all of Katrina's favorite things were Marissa's favorites first - Zac Efron, Rocky Horror, Sims, Taylor Swift, and the list goes on! Katrina loves cats, TV dramas, and Marissa's hand-me-downs. Many years ago, this young lady believed her sis was too picky when it came to men, however, after meeting Jon, she realized that Marissa may have been smarter than she previously anticipated. All Katrina's ever wanted for Rissy was to find her Prince Charming that she's so badly deserved, and there is no man that this Bean would rather give her blessing to than Jon. Forever grateful that Marissa and Jonny Boy have given Katrina her absolutely perfect niece and a love story to long for <3

Emily is known for her deep love of making crafts, being a princess, and kissing her pets on the lips. As a dedicated Swiftie, Emily danced right into Marissa's heart while teaching at Evergreen Park School. They immediately bonded over their love of corny jokes, trivia, and living through the perils of public education. After meeting Jon for the first time, Emily was immediately impressed! She didn't realize that anyone else was so passionate about talking about their most recent weird dream! Jackpot! Jon answered all her intrusive questions and still passed the test. After getting to know Marissa and Jon as a couple, Emily knew that Jon would be the person to give Marissa the laugh lines that anyone could dream of as they grow old with the love of their life. Please come find Emily at the reception to help her sing a passionate version of Miley Cyrus' award-winning hit, Party in the USA (or to have a sweet little weep about loving love).

Known for her sarcasm, love of baked goods, and ability to walk in the sun without burning to a crisp, Sharilyn finds herself as a bridesmaid in the wedding of a lifetime of one of her dearest and most loved friends, Marissa. Hailing from Gladeside, NB, Sharilyn and Marissa became friends after working together at Evergreen Park School. As friends they conquered many things - dancing to the House version of Baby Shark in front of their students, only making it out to the dinner theatre before going to bed at 11pm on what was supposed to be a wild night, and winning a wine tour for 5 by photoshopping multiples of themselves into their picture entry. Sharilyn will be found flailing on the dance floor like a wacky waving inflatable man and laughing with the entire wedding party.

A born and raised Riverview, N.B. gal, Christie is a world-renowned mama, wife, daughter, and puppy snuggler who met Marissa many moons ago. Legend has it that it was during their teaching days at Evergreen Park School where many shenanigans were had, and the forging of such a friendship (including other bridesmaids Sharilyn + Emily) took place. Other theorists believe that the alliance can be traced as far back as her days at Riverview High, where Christie took part in Mr. Flinn's Info Pro class (seriously one of the best ever) and was subliminally primed for Marissa's friendship to come. Regardless, she is one lucky lady to have Marissa in her life, and together they have shared countless life milestones including trivia-domination, wrastling-watching, and homemade wine-infused dance parties. Christie is beyond thrilled for Marissa, Jon, and little Murphy girl to celebrate their life together and all of the love with which it is surrounded, and to be included in this most special day of days! JON BE GOOD TO HER (I know you will be)! I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE <3

Ashley is known for being a crazy cat lady, her obsession with Gilmore Girls, and her various crafty hobbies on constant rotation. When she isn't watching Gilmore Girls for the 85th time, she's probably reading with a cat in her lap. Marissa and Ashley met at drama camp when they were about six years old and quickly became close friends like 9 years later. When Jon and Marissa first met, Ashley could tell by the way Marissa lit up when she talked about him that they were meant to be. You can catch Ashley crying at the ceremony...and reception...and probably other times in between, because she just loves love and is so happy for Jon and Marissa.

Brittney is Marissa's cousin by law, friend by chance, and sister by choice. Britt is a lover of music, Food with a capital F, family, animals, fast machines and the time spent working on them. She can be found quite often at home reading and eating with Jacob (future husband - sorry honey), her stepchildren Lilly, Aidan, and Liam, or at work with her (future husband - sorry honey). Speaking of future husbands...Mariss and Britt spent a lot of their little days planning for their future husbands - a lot! They both had no idea what they'd truly look like, but they sure knew it would feel exactly like this. Mariss taught Britt over and over again the importance of true love, mystery, funny, magical, and mystical storytelling. A gift it has been. Brittney is so delighted to be a part of this special day, she cannot wait to see her sister fully embrace the life of love she has perfectly, carefully, and fine-tunely written for herself. Because she knows Marissa wouldn't have written anything else. You will find Brittney full of face emotions and bursting with joy somewhere within eyesight of our bride and groom, trying not to make anyone uncomfortable with how many tears she cannot hold back.

As the youngest brother, Paul has always had someone to look up to and one of the first people that he followed was his oldest brother, Jon. Paul would follow Jon's trail and get into shenanigans around their childhood street, play hockey, football, and perhaps their greatest bond - video games. There are many stories Paul could tell you from growing up with Jon. Of course, there are many happy memories and stories that can be told but there are some that stick out more. Some of the favorites include playing Gundam or Pokémon at the beach as kids, their video game lounge they made in Jon's room, or when Paul moved to New Brunswick and pretty much lived with Jon and Marissa. Jon has been a role model for Paul throughout his life. Jon has taught Paul a lot of things, but the most important one Jon has taught (and if you know Jon you understand) is to get back up after you fall, no matter how hard it is. Paul is very thankful to have a brother who makes him laugh, love, and inspire. They will continue to bond over their passions and create more stories and adventures to be told.

As a younger brother, Zach has always followed in his older brother's footsteps. Playing hockey, football, going on adventures around the neighborhood and getting in trouble during school events are all things Jon paved a smooth road for Zach to ride down. Growing up together, Zach has many stories about his older brother and Jon likely a few more about Zach. The fondest memories of the two are playing at "our beach" or the forested lot beside their childhood home, trying to win at any video game (Jon always wins), walking to or from school together, attending each other's sporting events, and eventually reuniting in Ottawa as young adults to attend university together. Zach is mostly thankful for having an older brother to teach him and be patient with him throughout the years. But most of all, Zach is happy to call his older brother, Jon, a great friend. As Jon and Zach continue to grow their perspectives and knowledge together, they will continue to grow together through coaching football, sharing art (mostly movies) and sharing philosophies and ideas in person or on the phone until they are reunited again...

Very well, where do I begin...Alec met Jonathan through humble beginnings, finding common ground over football in middle school, where Jon would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark? By high school, Jon and Alec's relationship flourished, embracing the many delights North Bay had to offer, navigating through: -beach head amphibious assaults -learning about WW2 history by killing zombies on Xbox -the social intricacies of canoe club and high school dances -forming the Peninsula Panthers gang, which included recruiting our younger brothers and their friends to build us paintball fields and gaining fame as supporting actors in our school movie project and perform other undisclosed tasks. Fast forwarding to adulthood, Jonathan and Alec decided to spread their seed eastward, both finding love, lust, and refuge in Brunswick. The skills they mastered together in high school will undoubtedly continue to benefit their expansion in the eastern front.

Hugo and Jonathan met before either could possibly remember meeting. Their parents lived in the same neighborhood in North Bay and would bump into each other while out on walks with newborns in strollers. Having similarly aged children would be a catalyst for the parents' relationship, and as that friendship grew, so would Hugo and Jon's. Jonathan and the entire Wilkinson family were there through Hugo's formative years and that continues now into adulthood. Memories range from walking to elementary school together, to pizza dinner parties, to sharing a fourteen-by-fourteen room with Jonathan while attending York University. Hugo remembers being sad when his family moved to the lake, because he would be far from his best friend. But not long after, the Wilkinson's moved to the same street, so all was well in the world again. It is truly wild thinking back at the times the two older brothers had together and seeing where they are now, with children, mortgages, and amazing partners.

Rico and Jonathan met fatefully on their infantry basic training in Meaford. A place, it is said, where the weather machine is well hidden in a swamp, and also where dreams go to die. The two became quick friends, bonding over a joined interest in military history, camping without food or sleep, and free camo facepainting. Both have grown up a lot since the bayonet range, but they have always remained great friends. A couple provinces have not been able to keep these two from becoming honoured guests at Japanese restaurants or from polishing off a couple cases of beer under the stars while figuring out exactly where the Germans went wrong (spoiler, it was not going straight for Moscow in 1941). Rico is happy to be part of Jon's wedding party and is excited to take off from where Jon and he left off all those moons ago.
