FAQs

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail/Formal We want you to look and feel amazing on our special day! Our Vermont wedding calls for elevated, comfortable attire. Gentlemen should opt for a suit or blazer with a tie, while ladies can choose a dress or ensemble that feels polished and festive. Think summer colors, elegant florals, and comfortable shoes. We recommend avoiding stilettos to navigate the grass and make sure dancing is a priority!

Question

When should I book the hotel?

Answer

We have a room block at the White Horse Lodge, just check the travel page for the details on how to book! We would recommend booking before April, that gives you plenty of time to confirm your spot. If you have spoken to the Meg or Sam about staying at the venue DO NOT BOOK with the room block. We will be reaching out directly with the link for you to book when we have final room assignments.

Question

How will I get to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a bus transporting guests from the White Horse Lodge to the Mad River Barn starting at 2:45.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There will be very limited parking available at the Mad River Barn. We encourage you to use the shuttle coming from the White Horse Lodge or carpool.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Cocktail hour and the reception are open bar! Once we’re at the after party inside the pub, it will switch to a cash bar.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we respectfully request no children at the event, allowing all of our guests to enjoy an adults-only evening.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes, we have a wedding registry! We are registered at Crate & Barrel, just search our names. We also have some things here through Zola, just head over to our registry page.

Question

Where do I get the best maple creemee?

Answer

There is much debate on this question. The bride and groom would recommend stopping at Tozier's on your way to Warren if you are coming from the south. In town, the recommended location is Canteen Creemee or you can brave the journey across the Lincoln Gap to Village Creeme Stand (this is where we went after our engagement). The mother of the bride says the best chocolate creemee is at the Village Grocery. Enjoy!
