Sam and Meg met via Hinge, the popular dating app. Meg made the first move, liking a photo of Sam hiking Mount Washington. They decided to meet at a brewery in Southie in early December back in 2022. The date was nearly derailed by the first snow storm of the year, making Meg quite late from traveling in the storm back from a day trip to New Hampshire. Fortunately, Meg's friend Brenna was texting on her behalf explaining that the delay was truly due to weather. After two hours of white knuckle driving, the couple met for the first time. Without noticing they chatted until the brewery cleared out, talking about family, outdoor adventures, and hopes for the future. There was an immediate spark and the rest is history!
