We're getting married!

We want to share our story because meeting one another truly feels like a blessing. Our journey began in the most unexpected way, amidst the British Virgin Islands during the 2023 BVI Spring Regatta. Adam was aboard Yagiza, a Beneteau First 53 as a professional crew, Mauraine was vacationing with her family, attending the regatta, in place of school. The moment we first met on the boat is etched into our memories. Adam with his precise mind thought Kaylee introduced her sister as 'Rain'. While Mauraine, having seen Adam approach the boat from the dock, fled below deck to gather herself. Little did we know that this awkward beginning would lead to a beautiful story. A few days of sailing passed, Adam was oblivious to Mauraine's attempts to get to know Adam.. Adam even refused a dance with Mauraine, one he will never be lead to forget. On the final eve of the regatta week, Adam finally clued in.. because he was more or less forced to dance. The rest is history. Now, together in Canada, we are very grateful for this serendipitous meeting and excited for our future. We have our families to thank for our introduction and our journey through life together has been the definition of a blessing and an endless adventure. We cannot wait to share our celebration with you all (and our dog Charlie) at Langrigg, Grasmere, UK.
